These Last Few Days Of August.........At The Cottage

Last weekend at the cottage was fabulous...

My porch arrangement was
all Yellow...Susans, Golden Glows, and 2 different grasses...ribbon and oat grass...

I just love my sunporch...it is really my very favorite place at the cottage...except when I am outside...or cosy in front of the fire! I am so fickle! hahaha!

The gardens are putting on a great show, and the Bumble Bees and Snails wanted in on the action! There is also a wee Cucumber bug in the Yellow Holly Hock!

My tiny Tomatoes were a meal here at home on Monday night...Summer Fresh Pasta...and it was delish!! There will be more ripened this weekend...YUM!!

My Hydrangeas are still making their appearance on the kitchen porch...this time with some Oat Grass too...love the combo...it has popped up everywhere in my gardens, and I love it!

That Portulaca is the biggest I have ever seen!!! And the colour...oh my!!

My handsome boyfriend put up a new flag for the coming Fall season...the other one was looking pretty bedraggled..{word}...nice and fresh now!!

We had a great time at my son's on Saturday...

Lots of delicious food and funny stories...his deck is fabulous!! He is so happy!

And let me tell you....Miss V had a ball!! All her favorite people in one place again!! There was beach balls...horseshoes...twirly things {hahaha}...and we blew bubbles for hours! She especially liked it when it was getting dark, and Uncle Ryan and Aunt Anna lit a few candles...she was glowing!

Hope you are all having a great week so far...great weather here...altho a bit humid again...

Oh well...it will soon be Fall...and I can complain about that!!

I made stuffed red peppers for dinner...OMG!!!...they were so fresh and delicious...they were on for 99cents/lb...great deal...along with some lovely crispy chicken cutlets and fresh corn on the cob...

What's cookin' in your kitchen?????

Enjoy your evening...

          Cheers!   :o)

  1. Wonderful, tiny tomatoes, the pasta must have been delish. Love the photo of Miss V.'s glowing expression, it must have been a fun time with your family, happy for you. I've traveled again, now at the Long Island summer house of my son and family for a few days. (of course, it's on FB!) Take care...

  2. It's looking mighty nice at your cottage. Love all your photos. I can't get over how much Miss V has grown over the summer.

It's still so hot and humid here at the lake. We are expecting a slight cool down, could be from overcast skies from the tropical storms brewing. I'm still relegated to early mornings of working outside. But I'm determined to tame this jungle I returned to.

  4. What a wonderful weekend at the cottage! Miss V. looks like she is having the most marvelous time. At this time of year, tomatoes are a part of at least one meal a day, even if it's toasted tomato sandwiches! -Jenn

  9. Your cottage looks so refreshing with the vibrant colors outside and I simply love the abundance of flowers you grow, Linda (and critters you attract!). Miss V's face tells it all in that night snap. So happy you have this retreat. We will share notes soon. Definitely off Thursday night. Maybe sleeping bags under the stars! lol!

    Great shot of the bee.
Boyfriend looks in good freckle ~ you must ration him or he work outs, or both . . lol
    Delightful shot of Miss V glowing . . bless her . . :)

I am starting again with Peter tomorrow for two days a week but he is much easier now and likes to help with the jobs.
Rosa loves to sit on my knee and 'play' the piano, She loves it and was there for an hour doing the same with her Nana. And she plays interesting little tunes on her xylophone. We think she is going to be musical ~ it runs in the family on my side . . :) Watch out for a future Nannerl Mozart (his talented sister) . . . lol.
