Last Day Of Summer...First Day Of Fall At The Cottage...Part 1...

Last Wednesday, was the last day of Summer...

We took off for the cottage...and boy...was it ever worth the trip!!

As you can see...it was a beeeeutiful day!!

We stayed for 4 sleeps...and only one day...Friday...was not so great...

Enjoy these shots...from the last day of Summer...

Hope you are all well...

Today is a blustery rainy day in Southern Ontario...

Leaves are flying through the air in the wind...luckily my boyfriend got the pool closed yesterday...so no leaves to scoop out!

I have skinny beef and barley soup simmering on the stove...YUM!!

I am seeing the Dr again this afternoon, as I can't shake this horrible hacking cough...very attractive..indeed!

I will share more pics from the cottage...the first day of Fall was spectacular!!

We are taking a drive out to the cottage tomorrow...perhaps stay one night, as it looks like a very rainy weekend ahead...

Stay warm!!

Thanks for all your lovely comments on my last post...♥️

I have started another sweater for Miss V, as I had to rip out the last one!!

Great weather to crochet!!

             Have a great day...

                   Cheers!

                       linda ♥️

  3. It's a gray day. Good for baking and drinking a second cup of coffee.
The last day of summer was beautiful! I spent mine inside with G. But I did get to look out the window AND go home before it got dark.
I'm enjoying today in spite of the misty rain and gray skies. My kitchen smells yummy.

  6. Symbicort. I coughed for over two years, no kidding. Had every test and assessment known to mankind (human kind to be p.c.). Finally was prescribed symbicort (kind of like an inhaler, but not exactly) and my cough went away. It was like the angels were singing and I got my life back. Just used it for a while. I am not a doctor and no doubt your doctor will help you somehow, but just wanted to share what worked for me. On a different note, I love your new header and that looks like a wonderful day at the cottage. Pool closed up here as well. -Jenn

    1. Well aren't you the smart one! Guess what he said??? Gave me a script for an inhaler, if the coughing fits start up again...I have been fortunate all day...
So glad he got the pool closed...it would have been full of leaves today!

  7. Not long and you and I will be showing off our socks and slippers instead of our cute toes! haha...kind of sad...but I'm looking forward to some cooler weather. We're wet and cold..2 days of pouring rain and dark skies.

Lovely pictures....I always think the flowers are at their peak just as summer ends. I have a mum that needs to be planted...maybe behind garden girl so I can see it from the window!

Hope you're feeling 100% very soon!

  8. No rain for us, it was predicted but never arrived. I did a lot of garden clean up, not much left to do now. Taking the grandkids out for awhile tomorrow as it is a PA Day. Hopefully the rain doesn't show up then.

  9. Gorgeous pics, my friend. The last one is stunning. Do you stop going to your cottage after this point? I know you really 'close' things up for winter but do you do that now? Definitely see why you do it with the pool, the leaves make it very hard to keep clean.

I'm so happy you are seeing a doctor. I have had a cold for weeks, very congested at night and in the morning but quite okay as far as coughing and whatnot during the day. The head always a little aching. Hard to shake I think. Not sure why. Let us know what's going on.

    Love and a hug,

    Jane
