Boy...what another busy day I have had...
Started out washing the shower curtains and cleaning the tubs...
Then I made 2 pans of cabbage rolls...
Then I made lunch...
Then I decided to do a major cleanup in the backyard....
Then Erika called, and said her and Vivian were coming by for a cup of tea...
Then I ran upstairs to get cleaned up...
Then my other daughter Lissa arrived...
Then they went to Winners...while Vivian had a nap...
Then I put the cabbage rolls in the oven, and a peameal roast for everyone...
Then my son-in-law Jeff arrived ,as he and Lissa were taking a daybed from upstairs, to their place...
Then we sat in the back yard for a bit....then we ate...then Erika and Vivian went home....we sat around and talked for a while....my boyfriend helped Jeff load the daybed into our truck, which they were borrowing for the night...
P H E W !!!!!
Good thing I loaded these pictures in yesterday....all ready for my Thrifty
Thursday post.....Off we go........:o)
I picked up this paint by numbers, for $1 each...
Kind of an unusual subject, and larger than usual..
They will go with the rest upstairs in the back bedroom
at the cottage...
This cute silhouette was also $1... |
Love this pair of Milk Glass candlesticks $3...... |
And these 2 glass canisters made me smile...one was 50 cents and the other was 75 cents....they are perfect for my tea and sweetener...they both have
glass lids, which I especially like......
Just had to include my sweet violet from the cottage...still going strong on my table in the window....hopefully they can stay for a few more months, before it
gets too cold...
well.................I am pooped...haven''t even shopped for the weekend yet
Oh....to hell with it...we'll shop in Vineland at my favorite little IGA...
Whatever the special is......is what we are having to eat at the cottage..
Hope you were as busy as I was...
Feels great, eh?
More pictures of Vivian to come...
Cheers! :o)

ReplyDeleteLove your thrift store finds...I browsed through one myself today and brought home several things....don't even have them out of the bags yet! ha.
get unpacking!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou find such great things at your thrift stores! Yesterday I found my son a brand new pair of Vans shoes (in his size, 11!) for $6.00. I also each of my kids a pair of jeans, a top and vest for my daughter, my son 2 funky green lamps for his room and a book. All for $35.00. I am glad my kids don't mind having thrift store finds.
ReplyDeleteI love cabbage rolls. They are a lot of work to make!
actually Birdie...I do the "lazy" cabbage rolls...just layer the cabbage like a lasagna...layer of meat and rice..tomato juice...you get it...used to roll them, and they always turned out crummy...hence the "lazy" method...and they taste exactly the same...glad to see you are a thrift lover, as well...:o)
DeleteYou were busy! Bet those cabbage rolls are tasty! Love shadow picture from the thrift store...
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend at the cottage. Bring your woolies, it's gonna get colder..brrr.
they sure were...Lissa and Jeff took the rest home :o(
DeleteGuess I'll have to make more next week...the cabbage cost me 99 cents!!!
made ryan a pan with no meat...
