I actually finished my afghan last week...
Instead of a fringed edge..
[I ran out of steam...too lazy to cut all those short pieces of wool!!!]
At least I am an honest lazy person!!!
Instead...I worked a scalloped edge...
Kinda of frilly....ruffly...
I LOVE IT!!!!
It will take its place in the family room...
Right beside me...on the couch...to warm my weary bones...
It turned out even better than I had hoped...
Now.........I am working on a cowl scarf....in black...will share later...
What kind of crafts have you been working on lately????
Any Christmas shopping done, yet???
Hope you all had a great day...
Cheers! :o)

I love the edging you chose, and it is finished just in time for getting cozy on those cold nights that are coming soon. And a nice warm cowl next. I'm finishing up some socks then it is time to start on a blanket for grandbaby 4.
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda...I also like the ruffle...My mom used to knit socks...with the 4 needles...too hard for me...
DeleteWhat a beautiful blanket! I love it.
ReplyDeleteYou are asking about what crafts I am working on so you can mock me aren't you?
Hey Birdie....I would never mock you...but...if the shoe fits! hahaha...:o)
DeleteGreat job!! Love the ruffle.... My mums are still blooming as well so I moved my pot of fall arrangement to the other urn by my cedar hedge. Isn't this weather amazing!! This old lady is having a hard time reading your comments....
ReplyDeleteAwesome weather...had a lovely long walk after dinner...do you mean the letters are too small??? or too pale???? You are my first complaint...I will fix it if I can...
Deletehow beautiful! While I love to craft and quilt, I'm not very experienced in the 'yarn arts'.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Andrea...your blog is lovely!!!
DeleteThat is gorgeous, Linda! And I like that edging better than fringe! You'll really enjoy snuggling with that this winter!
ReplyDeleteThanks Betsy...It is right beside me on the couch..if it gets chilly!
DeleteOh, how gorgeous, Linda! Frilly, snowy and cozy warm! Your work is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHappy to meet you Yvonne...thanks for the kind words...
DeleteI must visit your blog...
Perfect for cosy winter warmth, I admire your talents Linda. The wool looks really soft and I love the neutral colour. It will complement well. Well Done
