Friday At The Lake.....Hated to "Leave"....

This is the view as we arrived on Friday...

Tons of leaves...

Pretty cloudy...

Time to get to work...

Started bringing up the shutters from the basement...

All installed...we leave the middle one for last, as it lets the light into the kitchen...

My boyfriend actually got the camera, and took a couple of shots of me with the leaf blower...notice they are a bit "blurry".....need I say more??!!

Got a chance for a garden walk-about...still a few Fall things blooming...

      Downloaded these into Picasa 3...

Not so sure that I like the quality...

I thought my pictures were usually clearer than these...

Oh well....at least I have some more space...:o)

Hope you all had a great weekend...

Had Vivian for 5 hours today....I am pooped!!!

She never cried once...just giggled and smiled......:o)

                        Cheers!   :o)

  2. Another season come and gone. Work is all done.... Now for the snow...
My son just flew in from Calgary, his flight was delayed 4 hours. They had a foot of snow.
They can keep it. But you know the saying that if they get it, it eventually comes here.

  4. Dito, that's exactly what I have been up to. There are huge trees next to my home so I got on with composting them as the leaf mould makes the ideal seed compost for my flower growing pursuits. All 40 bin liner fulls to be exact. Totally done for today! more allotment pics to follow as I have made special containers from pallets to store them in.

Shame for them to go to waste! Wheel barrow wheels feel off that's the only thing that halted me. Ha!

  6. Looks like the cottage is all set for winter. What on earth do you do with all those leaves?
Vivian looks so cute all dressed in pinks.
It's breezy today, more so down by the lake where we went for a nice walk this morning. Rain moving in for this evening.

    1. We blow or drag them all to the beach...we can burn them, or just let them get carried out by the waves....it was too windy last weekend to burn them,tho...

  7. Oh what fun to have such a delightful cottage to enjoy. Do you go in the winter at all? We are so very lucky to be able to enjoy my Mom's place, only an hour away from us. She is talking of selling it though. Which will only make us want to move there sooner!!!
Your grand daughter is beautiful! I know that "Pooped" feeling. I have had my grandson full time while my daughter works, since his birth. It was way easier when I was in my twenties!!!!

  8. Hard workers! :)

Had to laugh at your blurry photos taken by the now infamous boyfriend. When I ask someone around here to take a picture of me it's either blurry or the top of my head is cut off! hahaha.
