The wind was calm....
I had already been to FItness....
Bought some Pickerel for dinner...
Put some birdseed out...
As I looked around...
I realized there was still a lot of color in my small garden at home...
SO.....
I decided to share it with you...:o)
I also got my geraniums and spikes
ready to bring in....
The Gooseneck-Loosestrife is still a beautiful golden red colour...
My Snow-on the-mountain is still going...no signs of frost here... |
Miscanthus still green...just a wee bit of yellow creeping up the stalks...this will look fabulous all winter long...one of my favoritest plants... |
Pee-Gee Hydrangea just losing its soft rosy color.. |
Good old Geraniums...all potted up and ready to come in... |
Can you spot the 3 faces??? |
This Oak tree is about 6 feet tall now...planted by a friendly squirrel...Fine with me... |
I must have more Mums than anybody!!!! They just keep coming up...year after year... |
I have 2 banana-blueberry loaves in the oven...
'cause we gobbled up that Blueberry Buttermilk cake...
We did have a lot of help tho...
Irresistibly delicious...
Hope you all had a great day...perhaps you also got out
into the garden...
Anything still blooming???
Enjoy your evening..
Cheers! :o)

Hi Linda. It was a pretty nice day here after heavy rains yesterday but I was too busy cleaning and packing for my trip to New York to do anything outdoors. Oh, I did set out my old granite ware tubs filled with greenery for the winter. My gardens long done for the winter just waiting for the snow to cover them up. You have some lovely plants that are still giving you some joy!
ReplyDeleteHave a great trip...
DeleteI like all phases of a garden. You have beautiful dried hydrangeas for instance. I remember how enlightened I was the first time I read about year round gardening. In my fourth life I'm going to take it up! (Or my gardener will!)
ReplyDeleteOh...a gardener...that would be a dream come true!
DeleteAnd...he would be handsome :o)
I need to put some birdseed out SOON. The birds are coming to the place it was last year and they are pissed that the feeder has not been put up yet. I will do it in the next few days because the birds help me get through the winter.
ReplyDeleteWell Birdie...get on that...first thing tomorrow...
DeleteGotta keep the birds happy..
I love the Mona! Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to bring a rose bush...it's still blooming in it's pot and I'd love to keep it alive til the spring!
Yes it is..I had to google to see what it was...kinda looks like an orchid...
DeleteFingers crossed for your rose...and my Mona!!
Yes, I saw the three faces!!! Lots of silvery and pretty things in the garden still!
ReplyDeleteHappy Hump Day!!
xo Kris
Aren't they funny....I have had them FOREVER...
DeleteNothing really blooming in the garden. I did take some photos of the miscanthus and have a post in the works. I haven't done a garden post for awhile and need to get back to them. We have had a few heavy frosts, the trees are bare, and some plants are covered in a blanket of leaves to keep them warm over the winter. We did go and cut some feathers, as I call them, from the roadside grasses. There are lots of those in bloom still. I also cut a lot of red dogwood branches for some displays.I added them to my winter greenery pots. That has been the extent of my gardening.
ReplyDeleteI had missed my garden posts...after all...that was what this was supposed to be all about!!!I try to get the leaves OUT...as I hate them in the Spring...all soggy..I all those roadside "Ditch Grass"...It is nice along the roads..
Deleteyum! just stopping by here i can smell what's baking.
ReplyDeleteand no calories!
i love the blue tile and the lamplight and the hydrangeas from the last post. beautiful.

Thanks Tammy...I enjoy baking and gardening...and everything else!!!!!Going to bring Mona in tonight, as we are heading to the cottage tomorrow!!
DeleteLove the little Mona lavender. So tiny and looks like an orchid. It will thrive inside with you looking after it!
ReplyDeleteThanks Devon...we can keep our eye on her, eh??
DeleteGold, and bronze, and brown, and a little bit of green.
ReplyDeleteI have some little autumn crocuses too. I thought they were just confused until my daughter told me they were supposed to bloom in the fall and I found out I was confused instead.
I have seen those fall crocus...they are beautiful!!!
