I Would Rather Be......

Sitting here...

Looking at these...

Dreaming of this Sunset....

Gazing thru the Grasses....

Wondering if the Chickadees  or the tiny Wrens will move in...

Admiring our amazing retreat, that we are so lucky to have...
Thinking of whether they will turn Pink this year...

Happy that the Daturas self-seeded in a large planter...

Moving around my "travelling garden" to a better spot
Getting down and dirty with some fabulous annuals..

Thinking of my Mom, when I cut the peonies which came from her garden, every June...

Going for a swing in the hammock...and look up into the branches...

Enjoy an awesome rainbow after a rain...

Stare in wonder at another glorious sunset..

In awe of my fabulous fresh ferns...

Enjoying the scent of fresh flowering shrubs...

Building my baskets with lovely fresh plants...

Taking pictures of my flipflopped feet with a giant plant...

Standing on a newly unearthed rock on the beach...

Sitting here having dinner...with my boyfriend, family and friends...

Sitting under the umbrella in a fresh sundress...

Feeding the seagulls...

Taking pictures of my summer feet...with the Lake as a backdrop..

Watching the water fun...from my chair on the beach deck...

Admiring my pedicure....

Deciding to make a weekend vase arrangement using these Pink beauties..

On this....yet another...gloomy,rainy day...

What would you rather be doing??.....

Cheers!  :o)

  1. I'd rather be...

driving the back roads in search of autumn photo opportunities, walking through crunchy, rustling leaves, sitting round a campfire roasting marshmallows, watching my daughter ride "her" horse...

But, there's a fire in the stove, the house is quiet, I am warm and dry, and sleepy.

I'm thankful to have electricity and running water, a roof over my head, and know that my family member are all safe.

  3. Oh yes! I would like that so much too. It was cloudy and cooler here today and the weekend doesn't look much better now. At least we have beautiful photos of the summer to look back on and enjoy on these dreary wet days. Have a good weekend no matter the weather.

    1. Went out there today...
Tons of leaves...a few twigs...thank goodness it was a North-East wind...when it comes South, straight off the lake, it can be bad..

  6. I kept waiting to read "instead of this" and then seeing a dull and dreary photo. :)
I'd love to be sitting out in the gazebo with a cup of tea instead of inside on a chilly day.
    Have a great weekend.
