By popular demand...
Well....one demand!!! [thanks devon]
I am featuring my thrifty finds for the last wee while...
The vintage tablecloth was just perfect for the fall season...$2
Golds...tans...browns...creamy whites..
Perfect for the dining table at the cottage...
Always love finding the vintage pyrex vision bowls...especially in the clear brown glass...so useful...soups, chili...even oatmeal... 3 for $1.50
And they look really cool on the tablecloth!!!!
Another item I love to collect...
Green glass...
Pitchers....
And this one had it all...$1
Love the thickness of the handle..
This will be perfect for a small fresh cut floral arrangement...perhaps some Lily-of-the-Valley...or Sweet Peas...
Ahhhhhhh...I can smell them now...
This is a whole new area of thrift shopping for me...
BABY CLOTHES!!!!
Can you believe I paid $1 for this
great fleecy outfit for Vivian...
Won't she look cute as a button in this?
With the Bear ears and all!!!
The blue handknit toque was also $1...
How could I resist????
I also have a BIG soft spot for Santas...
This guy was precious!!!! 50 cents...
I think somebody gave him a haircut and a beard trim...but the face had me...
Such a jolly old elf!!!
He fits right in beside "Christine" my new Christmas mouse...
I also picked up a small china sleigh...which I will make a floral arrangement in...25 cents...
I think Vivian loves her new toque...
And she approves of all of Grandmas
thrifty finds...
I am sure that in the years to come, she will
love playing with all of my Christmas characters....
Hope you all enjoyed the sunshine today...
We spent it outside at the cottage....
Blowing a few more leaves...
Cut some evergeen branches for my pots here at home...
had lunch El Fresco....watching the waves...
Enjoy your evening...can you see the 3/4 moon???
Cheers! :o)

i'm thinking i remember she's your very first grand~daughter?
Hey Tammy...Yes...Christine has a buddy...but you will not believe what I bought the other day...you will have to wait for that one!!!ha ha ha...check out my Dec 15 2011 post...the elves and Santas are crafty little ones, aren't they???
DeleteYes...Vivian is our only and first grandbaby....we have already bought her some adorable clothes for next summer!!!
Love your thrifty post. Our daughter in BC is the bestest thrifty shopper for babies. She gets toys at amazing bargain prices on a site called Used Victoria. I had so much fun doing the thrift store rounds when we were there buying baby clothes. The little ones grow out of them so fast, so thrifty shopping keeps their closets full all the time.
ReplyDeleteIt is true, Linda...they hardly wear them at all...She was lucky enough to have a friend from work give her a whole dresser full of lovely things...and I am always on the lookout...I want to get her a little plastic shopping cart...will keep my eyes pealed at the the thrifts for one of those...not yet tho'...I guess she should learn how to walk first, eh??
