Gifts are wrapped...
And...I must say...
I definitely did NOT go overboard this year...
Not a million gifts...
Merely a few well selected ones...
And wrapped...
I must say...
To perfection...
I have always loved adding the big showy ribbony bows...
Not those peel and stick ones...
BUt...
AS we open the presents here...
I always make everybody LEAVE their beautiful glittery, shiny, colorful bows behind...
With ME...
To use again...
Perhaps next year...
Perhaps on a spur of the moment gift...
Or a carefully chosen Birthday gift...
I do not think I have shared my Favorite Elf with my new peeps....He stays out all year...and has a special place on the couch..I love him...most people think he is creepy...but I see past all that..and am in tune with his inner self...I can't wait for Vivian to notice him...I know they will be the best of friends...
Now all I have left to do...
Tomorrow that is...
Set the Christmas table...
Make vegetable gluten-free lasagna..
Hang the stockings...
And then...
Enjoy Christmas Eve...
Taking a break from the kitchen tonight...
Swiss Chalet called and asked why we hadn't been by for our 1/4 white with fries!!!!
So...
We said...
We'll be right over....
Vivian and Erika are joining us there...:o)
Enjoy your evening...
Hopefully another post tomorrow...
Cheers! :o)

Your tree is gorgeous!! Sounds like a plan..
ReplyDeleteSwiss Chalet....
It was delicious....but we waited a long time...the restaurant was packed!!
DeleteMerry Christmas..
Oh what a pretty tree ! Happy Holidays ~ C
ReplyDeleteSame to you Candice...hope you are back in the U.S. soon...
DeleteSo pretty! It sounds like everything is coming together beautifully.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
It seems so, MArtha...Hope everything goes well for you too...
DeleteIt'll all work out. It always does. And even when I don't think it has, somehow all the pressure melts away on Christmas Day.
DeleteI like your elf and think he looks quite friendly. I'm sure Vivian will enjoy him. I wish Swiss Chalet was near us. And we haven't had our festive special yet either! I also used some wired ribbon for wrapping this year. I like it a lot! And I'll try to hang on to it for next year too. :)
ReplyDeleteMy elf is cool, eh??
DeleteMerry Christmas Pamela..
Oh fun...glad you're getting a night out for dinner!
ReplyDeleteI love your wrapping...we do the same...no peel and stick for us, either. I pick up spools of wire ribbon at the thrift store and out of the auction trash all the time. We must be the only ones that like it. haha.
We have fewer gifts this year, too...but I don't think anyone will notice. It's more quality over quantity in the idea of keeping everything more simple, yet lovely and meaningful.
Me too...tired after driving to the cottage...to visit my son...and then home..
DeleteDinner was great, and Vivian behaved like a doll!!
I always pick up the ribbon, whenever I see it, too...
You can never have too much ribbon!!!
Merry Christmas, Betsy...
Your packages and bows look festive and grand. I wish you very Merry Christmas!!!! So happy to have met you.
ReplyDeleteXO Kris
Thanks Kris...me too!!!
DeleteYour bows are lovely. We seemed to get away from them once the kids were old enough to start ripping open wrapping paper.
ReplyDeleteYour elf looks all tuckered out, but happy.
Have a wonderful Christmas Day ... enjoy the food, the fun, the gifts, the family, the excitement and most of all enjoy Vivian.
Thanks Linda....will do!!
DeleteMerry Christmas Keaveneys!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Morans!!!!
