The Night Before....The Night Before...

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel...

Gifts are wrapped...

And...I must say...

I definitely did NOT go overboard this year...

Not a million gifts...

Merely a few well selected ones...

And wrapped...

I must say...

To perfection...

I have always loved adding the big showy ribbony bows...

Not those peel and stick ones...

BUt...

AS we open the presents here...

I always make everybody LEAVE their beautiful glittery, shiny, colorful bows behind...

With ME...

To use again...

Perhaps next year...

Perhaps on a spur of the moment gift...

Or a carefully chosen Birthday gift...

I do not think I have shared my Favorite Elf with my new peeps....He stays out all year...and has a special place on the couch..I love him...most people think he is creepy...but I see past all that..and am in tune with his inner self...I can't wait for Vivian to notice him...I know they will be the best of friends...

So...

Now all I have left to do...

Tomorrow that is...

Set the Christmas table...

Make vegetable gluten-free lasagna..

Hang the stockings...

And then...

Enjoy Christmas Eve...

Taking a break from the kitchen tonight...

Swiss Chalet called and asked why we hadn't been by for our 1/4 white with fries!!!!

So...

We said...

We'll be right over....

Vivian and Erika are joining us there...:o)

                    Enjoy your evening...

                       Hopefully another post tomorrow...

                                Cheers!           :o)

    2. It'll all work out. It always does. And even when I don't think it has, somehow all the pressure melts away on Christmas Day.

  4. I like your elf and think he looks quite friendly. I'm sure Vivian will enjoy him. I wish Swiss Chalet was near us. And we haven't had our festive special yet either! I also used some wired ribbon for wrapping this year. I like it a lot! And I'll try to hang on to it for next year too. :)

  5. Oh fun...glad you're getting a night out for dinner!

I love your wrapping...we do the same...no peel and stick for us, either. I pick up spools of wire ribbon at the thrift store and out of the auction trash all the time. We must be the only ones that like it. haha.

We have fewer gifts this year, too...but I don't think anyone will notice. It's more quality over quantity in the idea of keeping everything more simple, yet lovely and meaningful.

Dinner was great, and Vivian behaved like a doll!!
I always pick up the ribbon, whenever I see it, too...

  7. Your bows are lovely. We seemed to get away from them once the kids were old enough to start ripping open wrapping paper.
Your elf looks all tuckered out, but happy.
Have a wonderful Christmas Day ... enjoy the food, the fun, the gifts, the family, the excitement and most of all enjoy Vivian.
