Something Special,Splashy & Splendid for Sweet Cheeks....

Been working on these for a while...

The pillow was from a picture  I found on Pinterest...

No pattern...

Just a picture...

I added my own spin...

And...

I...

Quite...

Like....

The result!!!

They are for Miss V's 1st Birthday...

Can you all believe how time flies???

I hope she likes the pillow...

I added some buttons along the bottom...

I have a bunny pillow in the family room...and it has 6 buttons along the bottom...

She loves playing with the buttons...

And we count to 6....she loves that too!!!

Stares right into your face...wide-eyed...absorbing every word...

Ahhhhh...the young...how wonderous are they???

I had started the afghan a while ago...
It is just one big granny square...
Got the idea from my friend Jennifer over at "Thistlebear" blog...
I finished it off with a nice bobble edging....
After that was done.....I thought...why not a cute OWL pillow to match!
Searched for a pattern...came up with a photo...and that was the one that I liked...
Perhaps she will curl up in the blanket...head on her pillow...and have a nap on the couch....wouldn't that be just perfect?!

My Mom's stuffed toy Cat...

And my proper Mr Rabbit...

Both asked me...

"WHO-WHO-WHO" are you making those for, Linda...

And when I told them...they giggled with delight they were so happy, and said that she would love them!!

HAHAHA!{ am I losing it or what???}

Some of you may remember that this was the first thing I crocheted for Vivian...1 year ago....and the beautiful blue Hydrangea that bloomed the day she was born...

Hope you are all having a great day...

Waiting for the rain!!!

Off to the cottage...home early Sunday for a get-together with the Family to celebrate Miss V's birthday...

Have a great weekend...
Stay safe....

                                  Cheers!  :o)

I may show this to Marion. I bet she wouldn't mind making me one, or two:)

  3. That owl pillow is so so cute! You are very creative to come up with a design for it from a picture. The blanket is so pretty. I'm sure the pillow will be a favourite of Miss Vivian's all her life. I hope you have a wonderful weekend at the cottage and birthday party on Sunday. Exciting!! Hugs, Pam

  9. Wonderful gifts for Vivian, nothing beats homemade as love is added with every stitch :) She will treasure them for ever.
Enjoy the cottage. It is windy today (Friday) but still very hot and humid. Perhaps some relief is in sight.

  11. I like your own spin, Linda. I couldn't possibly do that. I'm sure Miss V adores them. Your Mom's stuffed toy Cat and your proper Mr Rabbit know what they're talking about, alright. :)
