Seagull....Seadoo....Sunset...*sigh*

Friday afternoon was so beeeeutiful...

When the sun had left the beach deck...

My boyfriend took 2 old lounge chairs...

Cleaned them up...

Added 2 cushions and 2 footstools...

And down we went...

To the shore...

Calm as can be...

Lots of sunshine...

A few glasses of cheer...

My trusty camera...

And enjoyed the water sights...

I hope this weather continues well into Fall...

What a perfectly perfect 3 1/2 day weekend....

Was I right or what???

A perfect ending to a perfect day...

And there is still Saturday to come!!

And a few flower shots...

Of course!

Hope you are all having a great day...

Hot as h*** here....30c with a humidex of 44c!!!

Unbelievable!!

Kept Miss V for another day♥️

She is napping now...so I am getting this done!!

Boiled some potatoes and bow tie pasta...

Gonna do a potato and pasta salads...got another chicken in the fridge!!!

Cold sliced chicken and cool salads...perfect!

How many times did I say perfect??? hahaha!

Bought some wool for a new crochet project...will share soon...soooo cute!

Enjoy the rest of your day...wherever you may be...what is your weather??

  1. Hot and humid here, we were going for a drive and tour around a couple o places but decided to just stay home and enjoy the shade in the back yard. Simple bbq chicken for tonight with some salad. Thunderstorm risk this evening, but not till later on ... probably be in bed by then :)

  5. Hey Linda - wish we had some of your weather - about 55 F here and sweaters required, as we are quite cold. Jealous of your weather and that great view of the lake. Can I make out just the far coastline many miles away - not sure whether your view is the width about 57 miles or the length about 241 miles or some other position.
Whatever, a view to kill for . . . . as long as it is a fish. Do you fish in the lake?
    Love the bird photos . . . . :)

    1. Hi Eddie...
you and Amy are wrapped up in sweaters...and we are sweating!
you are absolutely correct about the view..the width....we are on the N/E shoreline...facing south to Dunkirk New York....Buffalo is to the S/E of us...we can see the lights and fireworks across the lake...oh, and of course the lightning!!
We are not fishers...but our neighbours are...Bass and Perch are the best here...
      Now...any more questions??? hahaha!

    2. Oh! . . . no doubt I will think of some questions.
You are a much better Geography teacher than the one we had at school . . . and much better looking.
Ever tried skimming pebbles across the lake . . . lol Doubt if Hercules could do that!
I used to love skimming pebbles in our Lake District on several of the lakes.

Talking of questions I used to run an interview column on my blog called The Sunday Roast and if it was running now I would definitely invite you onto the show. I might just do a monthly one at some stage . . . . interested? I would need to drum up some support for the column again but it was rather fun. Betsy featured in about 2010. It was a popular column in its day.

    3. We call it "skipping" stones....and yes we do....nice thin flat stones work the best!
Not sure about The Sunday Roast....I am not really all that interesting...
Betsy has a much more challenging life than I....but....thanks for the offer....

  6. Lovely times for you at your little Utopia. That deck is serving you well. I can think of few more relaxing things than sitting at the shore. Not much beach time for us this year. (So far.) Love those feather closeups. I need a lot more outdoor time before the season's over. But fall is beautiful here. As usual you have the perfect menu down!

  8. The change from one day to the next on the lake is amazing. One day smooth as glass and the next a swirl of white water! We don't get that with our lakes in this part of the country.

  14. Amazing how calm it is compared to some pics recently where the waves were high and choppy. That's why I love the water so much. Always changing. I could spend hours sitting and watching and communing with nature. Lovely.
