Hope you all had a great weekend...
Our weather was spectacular...
Gentle breezes...calm Lake...swimming...eating...drinking!!
Taking in all the Lake has to offer
And...I am so glad we went on Thursday...or...
We would have missed this beauty!!
For some reason my Daturas are kinda pitiful this year...so...when I spied this one...
I had to follow her progress for the evening...
If we had not gone until Friday...
She would have been gone...amazing!!
**********************************************
We are having a sleepover tonight with Miss V...
She is napping right now...and then...we will hit the pool!!
My daughter Lissa and her husband Jeff are coming over...
I picked up 2 rotisserie chickens at Costco...delicious...and Gluten-free!!
I have fresh yellow beans...small fresh carrots and a few new potatoes to prepare...
Of course a Greek salad....my speciality!
Enjoy the rest of your day....
We are hot and humid again....fannnnntastic!!
Cheers! :o)

I love when God leaves me special gifts like that.
ReplyDeleteLast night I found my friends Ivy and Andrew at the ice cream shop (with their mommy and daddy) and then again today at Panera Bread. They're some of my favorite "flowers".

DeleteThis datura is exquisite Linda. You got some really beautiful photos. I'm glad you enjoyed the weekend and are having lovely summer weather again. It warmed up a bit here in Calgary today to about 18 I think and we actually spent a lot of the day outdoors. Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteHope it warms up out there....and the new wee one arrives soon!
DeleteThat flower is beautiful! Reminds me of morning glory a little bit. Glad you had such a good weekend at the lake. We will go to the lake for Labor Day next weekend. Been busy here, and without my computer!

Enjoy your lake.....and your computer! Hahaha!
DeleteWow what a beautiful flower. I just found your blog through Kris, from simplify ad I love it. I will be coming back to see more. Come and visit me if you have a minute. So glad you had such a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi Taciana.....thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI will definitely visit!
Thanks for your comment about my brother Tom♥️
I have two different Datura plants and neither have bloomed this year for some strange reason, so I enjoyed seeing yours. I do love the way their wonderful scent perfumes the air.
ReplyDeleteIt has been a strange summer for some plants....
DeleteMy Datura are usually way more prolific.....not so much this year!
Some of my perennials never even came up!
That flower is amazing and beautiful I love how you captured its bloom, and you are amazing too for your lucky break to getting not one but two chickens at Costco - don't women compete trying to get them - LOL I saw that on a comedy skit once - have a great week .
ReplyDeleteHahaha! I have never seen that here! Too funny! They are so delicious!
DeleteEnjoy your week....
I thought of you the other day, Linda, because I drove past a patch of daturas in someone's front yard and remembered that I learned the name for them here. :)
ReplyDeletewell....that is nice Jennifer...aren't they spectacular in a big patch?
DeleteYou should swing past, and ask her for some seeds.....
I thought I had left a comment on this post. Blogger seems to have it in for me.
ReplyDeleteI was saying that though the flower is lovely, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the frog!
Actually Barbara....I have been deleting them!!! hahaha...just kidding!
DeleteIt happens to me on the word press blogs...very slow to publish the comment...
no worries...I know you love me...er...uh...the frog!
Daturas are so beautiful. Here's to a good finish for summer. Looks like it will also go out like a lamb this year. We deserve a nice warm end to August and beginning of September. It's been way too wet this year.
ReplyDeleteRegarding cats, I have not taken care of a diabetic cat for awhile now. My daughter's cat, Hugo, is diabetic and doing well on one shot every morning. He is also on special food. Hope all goes well as I'm sure it will. Deb
Buddy is on special food...but still 2 needles a day...YIKES!!! I have never used a needle before!
DeleteI am so glad you introduced me to daturas - I remember them from another post. This is exquisite to watch it unfold. What a special flower.
ReplyDeleteWell I am glad you like it Suza!
DeleteIt is a beauty♥️
I love a nice roasted bird. And two, well, even better. Glad to see you having so much fun.
