What a great mini-vacation we just had!
4 days of glorious weather...
Sunsets...Moons...Bonfires...
Great friends...delicious food...lots of music and refreshments...
AWESOME!!!
Thanks for all your lovely anniversary wishes...much appreciated!!
*****************
We spent our days with Nature...
Especially one particular Bee...Who just adores my Perennial Pink Obedient plants♥️
Here is the lake on Friday evening...
Still very bright because of the Moon...
We were treated to a roaring thunder and lightning show that night...
Plenty of well needed rain for the gardens...
And...
The rain came straight down!! Not blowing sideways for a change!!
The moon got bigger and brighter eery evening....
Hope you all had a great start to the week...
I know....I know....it is Wednesday! hahaha!
Had a very busy day...
Think I'll do a panko/parmesan cheese chicken cutlet in the oven...
Along with some roasted potatoes and fresh baby carrots!
Still very humid and sticky here....no sun today...waiting on a thunderstorm!!
Enjoy the rest of your day...
What have you been up to??
I will visit this evening...for sure!!!
Cheers! :o)

It has been a wonderfully relaxing week. I've been able to accomplish some tasks that had been waiting far too long, and my house and kitchen have stayed clean. (Could it be because My Darling is out of town? Or maybe, perhaps I am just feeling more relaxed anyway.)
ReplyDeleteWe've had sunny skies all week but the clouds are starting to thicken this afternoon. Maybe we'll get a spot of rain too.
Love the bee! I've been watching them too.
:0)
We had a HUGE downpour at dinner time.....
DeleteHuge winds expected....YIKES for the cottage...

Awwwww...thanks Batbara!
DeleteWelcome back Linda!
ReplyDeleteDelighted to hear you had an awesome and relaxing time and Mother Nature cooperated! I could just watch the bees all day as they snuggle into the budding flowers. They do the same thing on my Hot Lips flowers. It's hysterical yet somehow comforting to watch:)
Great shots! That moon shot is amazing!!!
Thanks for sharing, Linda...
Thanks ~~Louise~~....
DeleteNever heard of hot lips flower! Sounds interesting!
Some people call them Turtle heads Linda. The look much like your Obedient plant. I think the botanical name is Chelone or something like that:)
DeleteOh....I have turtle heads....they are blooming now!
DeleteI like "hot lips" better! Hahaha!
Linda...your pictures are always superb! Love the bee on the plants and the snap of the moon...beyond beautiful! Time does get away from us as we try to snatch the last days of summer.
ReplyDeleteDinner sounds delish!
Jane xx
Yes Jane...we are turning cool this weekend!
DeleteI am not ready yet!
Yes, that bee is clearly having the time of her life in your flowers!
ReplyDeleteOh Debra.....you are the Queen Bee!
DeleteSounds just about perfect to me! We are headed back up to the lake this weekend. Today was my honey's birthday. 59! Yes, he has grown a little goatee. I like it. You know who he looks a lot like???? YOUR Greg!!
ReplyDeleteCrazy, eh?
xo Kris
Hi Kris!
DeleteHave fun at the lake....
Yes......very crazy!
Glad you had a wonderful break away at the cottage. The pink obedient plants are lovely, I also have lots in my garden. It is pouring of rain this morning (Thursday) but should ease up as the morning progresses.
ReplyDeleteNo rain today.....just windy and chilly!
DeleteWasn't that moon just gorgeous all week? Beautiful photos of your obedient blooms. They are so pretty. It sounds like you had a wonderful weekend break for your anniversary. Rain coming here later today. Better than snow!!
ReplyDeleteYes....gorgeous!
DeleteWe had rain last night...cooling off for the weekend....:o(
But where is the man in the moon? Lovely photos, as usual. You must be having fun with Miss V. today, enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHi Hester!
DeleteHahaha! I didn't see him!
Had fun....she is growing so fast!
Love those tubby bumble bees. Pretty pink flowers so no wonder he/she is attracted to them. Never heard of obedient plants. Do they do what they're told? :-)
