Odds And Ends From The Weekend..........

My daughter gave me these shoes...after she found them painful...they are the kind that are supposed to "work" your legs as you walk around...not painful, but very heavy!

Oooops! Didn't notice this the night before   :o)

View from the kitchen...thru the sunporch...to the lake...ahhhh!
Warming in the sun....Fall tablecloth in place!!

Finches are in great numbers still....

Words to live by....

New big Doggie...for my collection...thrifty buy, as is the water colour behind...

Heavy shoes off!!!  Enjoying the late day sun...although warm on the weekend, the winds were awfully harsh...made it feel chilly at times!

Sunday's Lake...still choppy and VERY windy...see you next time!!

Hope you all had a great day...

Weather is pretty nice today...still a bit windy...but sunny!

the weekend is supposed to be spectacular!

Out to the store...gonna have some crunchy baked Cod...so good!

                    Rice...bok choy....Spinach salad....

Enjoy your evening.....

         Cheers!  :o)

  4. Hi Linda!
Happy Fall, officially, lol...You know it's windy when the lake is choppy. See that picture reminds me how much I miss Long Island and catamaran sailing:) Fall is the best time of year for any kind of sailing in my book:)

My daughter tried to talk me into wearing "those" shoes. Not on your life! If I had my way, I'd be barefoot from moring til night.

Dinner sounds GREAT! I'm barbecuing chicken tonight! It's Sunny, brisk and the garden is bustling with life. BTW, how are your sprouts???

    Thanks for sharing, Linda...

  6. Looks like you have been burning the candle at both ends . . . lol
Love the view from your kitchen . . . . no wonder you are such a good cook and spend a lot of time there . . :)
I see you don't like smart asses - glad I'm not one !!
Last photo - those waves are almost convincing that you live beside the sea and not Lake Eirie - very choppy and so therapeutic to be there . . . . do you sit there for hours or perhaps sometimes read a book there?
    Cheers ~ Eddie :)

    Agree with Gloria . . .

Sometimes the sound of the waves and the wind can be deafening....
      But....usually....music to my ears♥️
About the legs?? Nobody likes a smart ass!
      Words to live by! Hahaha!
      Enjoy your evening!

    2. I thought you might but the hot wax doesn't do the table cloth much good . . . .
I can imagine the sound of the waves and how appealing they are.
About the legs - I did not say anything - Gloria did (I just happened to silently agree with her lol)
But I will take your reprimand on the chin like a man . . . . hahaha
      I am about to turn in - goodnight . . . :)

  7. Looks like you got to the candle just in time!! The lake looks as though it was very blustery, nice to sit and watch from afar though no doubt. I had wondered about those flip flop thingys, but they always seemed to be heavy to me when I looked at them, I guess that is how you get a work out from dragging them around on the bottom of your feet all day long, it is like weightlifting while you walk!! xx

  8. I love the view from the kitchen to the lake. Your dinner menu sounds yummy. We had BBQ'd turkey burgers and roasted brussel sprouts coated with olive oil and maple syrup. Mmm...this sounds like a cooking school. Take care, Ms. LK. :)

  10. We've had some crazy wild wind since Saturday here. I'm hoping it will leave when the warmer temperatures arrive on Thursday. I saw goldfinches today for the first time in 2 weeks. I filled the feeder again but they ignored it. They stayed around all winter last year so hopefully they'll do so again. Your dog collection is cute.

  11. Great fun. Though I live with a smartass and am one so my plate would read: Smartasses Welcome.

  12. Beautiful pics. I love brussel sprouts too - I always think I am the only one, and then I hear of more and more who do. We need a fan club! I love the photo of the wax melting - very pretty against the glass. And choppy waves are the best.
