A few snaps from our beach walks....and sunsets from the porch at the beach cottage.....this bug had awesome colours....and polka dots too!
Didn't even budge when I took his picture....
Another spectacular colour of Hibiscus....
There is a huge bush alongside the cottage here...
Beautiful to see first thing in the morning....
Love seeing these....so much imagination...
Especially when there is a Seagull involved...
They also are looking for some warmth from the sun, on these brisk chilly days....
They are part of the coral beds...washed ashore....tons of them lately...
Boyfriend took this...
I brought along a smaller camera....he is having fun taking a few pics...
Chilly 13*c as the high today....gonna be down near zero overnite....
Going out for dinner....YAY!
Enjoy the rest of your day....I hope to be feeling better soon....
But.....not yet, really....:o(
Cheers! :o)
linda
ps.....thanks for all the lovely birthday wishes....so appreciated♥️
It is such a beautiful place isn't it and how lovely that you are right on the beach. Great picture of you taken by your boyfriend! xx
ReplyDeleteHi Amy.....
DeleteIt is lovely....I must admit....just wish after 4 days travel, it was warmer!
Welcome to paradise... I love the blues and golden-orange colors. I suspect that bug thought you might be from Nat'l Geo. It posed like a pro. Take care of you...
ReplyDelete"Dead man's fingers might" make a nice basket arrg. or crystal jar thingy. Tell the boyfriend - that was scary!
Hahaha! Will do Dixie!
DeleteHoly CR*P! I thought it was Freddy Kreuger!!
ReplyDeleteJane x
Enjoy your meal....stay warm *rolls eyes* x
Hahaha! No...just dead mans fingers.....ewwwww....
DeleteYou gotta get well soon, you're in Florida for heavens sake! Take care x
ReplyDeleteTell me about it Jessica.....really pissed off!
DeleteHow are you?
Hope that bug chases your's away . . . . it's spoiling your holiday.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon.
Glad you did not jump on the sandcastles like we dis when we were kids . . . . lol
Had to laugh at the dead man'fingers ~ wonder if they managed to pick up that delicious glass of beer.
That sunset photo looks like a waterfall of light pouring from the clouds ~ lovely.
Had Peter last couple of days ~ quite exhausted!! He is walking EVERYWHERE !! . . . and running.
He opened a kitchen cupboard and handed me a tin of baked beans and made enthusiastic noises for me to get some warmed for him ~ so i did . . . . lol . . . .:)
Hi Eddie....
DeleteYes....the dead mans fingers were able to lift plenty of beers!
So...I guess you could say.....Peter is full of beans! Hahaha!
Yes . . . lol . . . full of beans
DeleteI am seeing him again tomorrow with the whole family to celebrate some wonderful news.
I am treating them all to a meal . . . . :)
Hope you are better soon, Linda :)
Linda, will our friend Eddie ever treat the two of us to a meal, you reckon?
DeleteA meal of beans?
DeleteWell....that would be a rootin tootin time for sure Blue.....
Beautiful beachy stuff...nothing like the crash of the waves and the call of sea gulls. I haven't heard/seen that in a few years....way past due!
ReplyDeleteThat sunset is spectacular!
That would be great if you and the Mr could get away......
DeleteYour pics warmed me up a bit. But....still cold here. I think we just had the coldest day so far this year. No exaggeration.
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better soon. Is it a cold? Seems to be hanging on. Maybe that beer helped. Get better soon.
Hi Deb....
DeleteSinus...
I think I have sinusitis.....full of sn*t.....yuck!
Well see what the rest of the weekend brings.....
We're down near zero tonight too...
ReplyDeleteThe beach looks perfect. Soak up that sunshine while you can.
:0)
Go on out with some shorts and a sweater.....C O L D !
DeleteSunshine is nice though....
Very different here. Happy Valentine's Weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ivy.....
DeleteWhatcha cookin'?
Tonight we had leftovers that didn't match but better
Deletethan waste. For dessert, I did a second draft test
batch of a allergy-friendly Chocolate Chocolate Chip
Muffin, that I'm writing.
Did you see what I did to Tim's blog? I made it all girly
for Valentine's Day Weekend. So fun.
Happy Valentine's to you and your Honey Bunny.
It looks beautiful there Linda. I'm sorry it's cool though. We have a huge blizzard coming on Sunday - up to 50 cm!! Yay! I hope the continent warms up after it passes by but don't count on it. Happy Valentine's Day to you and your boyfriend. Enjoy! It really is warmer than it is here!
ReplyDeleteOh dear Pam....too much snow.....only 5 weeks til Spring!
DeleteYou are barely warmer than here. It was 15C in Calgary today and -30C in Toronto. What is with that??? Hope it warms up and you can enjoy the beautiful Florida sun and sand, and you will! Sincerely hope you feel a LOT better really soon - it's awful to be sick, especially when you are away on vacation and suppose to be having fun.
ReplyDeleteNo ocean view in Calgary though....
DeleteI hope I get better soon too....fed up with myself!
Yes.....FUN!
Soon......
Love the "warm" pictures (here with sub zero temps and a snow storm raging as I type this). Are you near Indian Rocks Beach? I assume on the "Gulf" side because of the sunset right outside your door. My sister and bro-in-law recently moved to Naples after years of spending winters on Key Largo ... they love the Gulf side and wish they'd moved there sooner. Love living vicariously through your pictures ... thanks for sharing and hope you are over your cold SOON! Linda
ReplyDeleteYes, Linda...just south of there...it is beautiful here...just should be warmer!
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
You sure are in a splendid location, Linda, right on the beach. It must be gorgeous to be there, and such a contrast from the snow and ice back home. Love the polka dot bug, and the gruesome fingers shot! Happy Valentine's xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Patricia...
DeleteYes...I hear it is really cold at home...at least almost above zero here! Hahaha!
Happy Valentines to you too!
13 was your high? It was 16 in Calgary today!
ReplyDeleteThanks Debra......!!
DeletePerhaps we should have driven all the way to Calgary!
No ocean there,though!
Such beautiful photos... you make me want to be there! Even though it is a bit cool for my tastes! ;) I think I need info on that place. Ha!
ReplyDeleteFeel better! Happy Valentine's Day!! blessings ~ tanna
Mother Nature playing tricks!
DeleteYou truly live in a corner of heaven, Linda. These are the most beautiful photos ever. By the way, you need to feed your boyfriend. Those skinny fingers... I was thinking of the story of Hansel and Gretel when they put a stick through the cage so the witch would think they were not fat enough to eat...haha.
ReplyDeleteHeaven, I'm in Heaven... do you sing that.... if I lived there I would. Have a wonderful Valentine's Day.
Lovely here in Florida....
DeleteEveryone at home freezing....brrrr!
I am lucky to be here.....for sure!
Oh my...what a contrast! I'd rather be there than here. So beautiful where you are. You know what I really envy? Your ability to wear flip flops!
ReplyDeleteYou are correct Martha.....
DeleteLong live flip flops!
Great photos - love the beer and the bony fingers - ha! Also the sunset after a cloudy day is wonderful - such light!
ReplyDeleteHi Suzanne....
DeleteBeer and bony fingers go great together! Hahaha!
Those Dead Mans Fingers scared the heck outta me, Linda. Oh how I love the view you love so much. ;)
ReplyDeletePretty nice, eh?
DeleteI must say.....
Have a great day!
