This is what the beach looks like, when there is Sea Fog.....
This is our second day under this fog....
Apparently there are some Royal Caribbean Cruise Ships stranded in Tampa Bay...
Unable to go into port!
A big power boat, just south of here....ran aground....with 4 people aboard...
Right into a bar on the beach!
Fortunately no one seriously injured....couldn't see thru the fog!,
~~~~~~~~~~~~
These White potted Mums, were a gift between my birthday and Valentines Day....
They were pure white.....I had them inside for a while....thought it was time to go outside...
They have been out there for about a week....
This morning I noticed the lovely Lilac tinge they had on the edges....
How cool is that?
They are also covered in moisture, from the heavy sea fog....
Everything was soaking wet this morning....
This is the kind of weather that gives me "fur" hair!
Not a pretty sight....let me tell you!
Anyway....
I thought these pics turned out quite nice....
So....
I wanted to share with you....
Enjoy!
I got 2 purchases at a Hollister store....they are very pricey at home....quite pleased!
We went out for an early dinner...
Boyfriend had raw oysters on the 1/2 shell....
I had wings....with VERY hot sauce!
Things we don't eat very often.....
Back at the cottage relaxing....no sunset again....and the next few days are kinda dismal....
Perhaps a movie tomorrow afternoon....
Hope you all had a great day....
Enjoy your evening....
Cheers! :o)
linda
Lovely photos . I am glad no one was hurt in that fog . Thanks for sharing , Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteYes...pretty scary...we saw it on the news...
DeleteI think those are the prettiest mums I've ever seen!
ReplyDeleteI know!
DeleteThey were pure white!
The Mums are soooo pretty, Linda. The fog sounds creepy and serious. Even sunny Florida has its dull days, it seems :)
ReplyDeleteYes...2 in a row!
DeleteThe flowers are beautiful, as well as the sea fog
ReplyDeleteAt least it's not lake snow...
Praying you get some sunshine soon.
:0)
This is true,Martha....not sure which is worse....hahaha!
DeleteMore snow for you?
And more cold.
DeleteWell, it didn't snow today. I think the weather is just taking a breather for a minute.
I think Sunday there is more snow.......
DeleteBut, then warmer temps!
I would be in Michaels and Hobby Lobby..before walking the beach because that weather spells more than fur hair on me..:)
ReplyDeleteStill gorgeous don't you find?
I love that part..s of Florida..
We also make an Amazon.com wish list when we are there:)
Ha Monique! You know exactly what I mean!
DeleteNo Hobby Lobby here....I looked. :o(
But....there is Joanne's! They have so much yarn!
Yes....still gorgeous!
You gave me a giggle when I read "fur hair." Thought of you this morning at ladies coffee. Big turnout this a.m., one lady was just back from a cruise, out of Ft. Lauderdale, thankfully not Tampa Bay. Love the mums photos. Great idea for you and the BF to see a movie. Wishing you better weather! :)
ReplyDeleteOh...you should see it! Hideous!
DeleteTeacher any better?
Yes, teacher and students must be getting used to each other. But she's not our Devon! Hope your day is nice...
DeleteHad a very long walk.....lunch....showered....ended up going grocery shopping by myself....bit of sun....gone by the time I got back!
DeleteI've never had Mums that had a tinge of purple - how lovely!!!
ReplyDeleteSea fog looks rough. Be careful traveling.
Yes Dixie....it was a surprise for sure! All white before....
DeleteIt stays at the waters edge...we thought it was gone, but as we approached, we could see it. :o(
Beautiful Mums . . . . lousy weather, shame . . . . but it seems you are making the most of it . . . .
ReplyDeleteOysters . . . . . . a rare something that's never on my menu. Not that keen on sea foods ~ I seem to love everything else though . . :)
Hi Eddie...
DeleteNo oysters...or mussels...or clams for me either!
I like shrimp though....and lots of fish.
We don't eat wings at home anymore...too much fat for the boyfriend....I like them the odd time....
Enjoy your evening..
Eddie hates mermaids... No? ;)
DeleteHi Blue!
DeleteNo......he hates shellfish!
Ah.... I knew there was some kind of fish involved somewhere.....
DeleteStarting to smell a little fishy in here, Blue!
DeleteThe flowers are beautiful. We used to live by the sea...I loved the sound of the foghorn when it was foggy...mournful but comforting.
ReplyDeleteJane x
No foghorns here...perhaps in smaller inlets or bays...I am sure they sound incredible.
DeleteEvery day brings new colors to your place. The fog has it's own beauty. Sounds like I nice dinner, but I'm not sure I could have had either. Not a real fan of oysters on the half shell, and my system can't handle anything spicy. But it sounds good!!!
ReplyDeleteNot an oyster fan either Wanda....and luckily the "hot" sauce was on the side!
DeleteEnjoy your day....still foggy here today!
even fog is beautiful where you are, sounds like you're really enjoying yourself,
ReplyDeleteYes...I guess we are....just want to feel normal again!
DeletePurty flowers, Linda. I'd take "fur" hair over frozen locks any day. I have a habit of wetting my hair as I'm running out the door. This morning I think it actually froze! Enjoy as much as that weather as possible. Hopefully the fog will dissipate so the boats can continue their journey.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, Linda...
Frozen hair? Yikes! Mine will be furry today.....still foggy! :o(
DeleteHow interesting that their tips are purple-y once they journeyed outside. Very pretty. I spent some time in England on the coast and when that heavy fog moved in it was amazing. You could feel the weight of it and could not see a thing. I quite liked it... but yeah, my hair would go berserk!
ReplyDeleteYes...interesting! Never seen that before!
DeleteYou sure have lived a lot of places Suzanne....quite a full life!
Your curly hair would be awesome! Ringlets!
I positively adore fog... makes me feel nice everytime I see it
ReplyDeleteHi Dez....long time no see!
DeleteSeems both you and Suzanne love the fog!
Come on down and enjoy!
Long time no see... because of the fog? :p
DeleteYup!
DeleteCan't see a darn thing!
Oh darn.
DeletePerhaps tomorrow...uh....nope....gonna rain! Drat!
DeleteThose are gorgeous mums! Love that bit of lilac on the white...it makes them look extra special.
ReplyDeleteHi Cheryl....thanks for stopping by!
DeleteIt was a pleasant surprise....for sure!
Love the lilac too!
Enjoy your week.....
Now aren't those blooms pretty?! I wonder if the salt air turned the colour in them. Sorry it's so dismal there though. NB got another big storm today. Snowing here in Calgary too but only a few cm. I can handle that! Wishing you more sunshine this week!
ReplyDeleteYes....they are....I love them!
DeleteBrought them back inside today.....too darn windy!
At least you missed the storm.....snuggle in with those cuties!
Right into a bar? Why are you looking at me? I didn't do it.... :D
ReplyDeleteAre you sure Blue?
DeleteIt was quite a big power boat....with 4 motors on the back!
I really should visit you.....miss me?
What do you think? Miss you.... duh.
DeleteLove the flours, I mean flours. Shit, I'm not even doing it on purpose. One more time.
ReplyDeleteFlowers. I had to correct that last one but I got it, by George.
Hahaha! *snort*...
DeleteAfter all Ivy....you are a Baker! Innocent mistake......hahaha!
Love your sense of humour!
I can't even tell you how many times my fingers mean to write
Deletef l o w e r s and write, flours.
Just pulled lime cookies from the oven. I've eaten two.
Sounds interesting......
DeleteThe flowers are beautiful with that tinge to them aren't they! xx
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful.....
DeleteHow are you?
Those mums must love the sea fog. Let's hope the fog lifts for you today and you get to see a lovely sunset. Still frigid but sunny here.
ReplyDeleteYes Linda....the sun is shining today....but very gusty and wavy....but sunny! Being positive....sorry it is still cold up there!
DeleteWeird weather everywhere!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy girl! Still lots of snow and col!
Trying!
