On This....The First Day Of September....

As soon as I came down this morning...
I noticed the Moon, out my kitchen window...
Out I ran, to get a shot of it...
How fabulous is that!!
When I turned around...
I spied one of my Limelight Hydrangeas...
How glorious she looked in the early morning...

After my breakfast...
And Coronation Street...
I went up to streak my hair...
I found this product a few months ago...
I like the really white blonde it gives me...
My hairdresser...who is also my back neighbour...told me to add corn starch to thicken it...then I just apply with my gloved fingers...hi-lites where you want them!!
And not too pricey..at $10!

While waiting for my hair to do "it's thing"...
I sat at the computer...
When I stared out the window...
I saw this!!
A vine climbing up one of our trees, has already turned red!!
Imagine that!!
On this...the first day of September...

After showering and getting myself together...

I ventured down to Winners to return a lamp I had bought a few weeks ago...

I did get a b'day present for someone, and a lovely grey sweater for myself!!

Tee hee hee!!

Then...

It was on to the Greenhouse, to get a few plants for the front and back...

I had only bought 2 planters this year...and they were...to say the least...looking pretty darn sad!!
So...

I picked up a few Fountain Grasses...and some Mums...and a big planter with both in them...

I think the colour will be fabulous...but I am not done yet...the weeks will bring lots of Fall colour to my garden!!

After all of that was squared away...

I was sweating!!

Gosh...it is oppressive out there!!! Really humid and hot!!

I got my toes painted!
Isn't this a great colour!!

Then...

It was time to make a cup of tea..

My daughter Lissa gave me this box of tea, at her BBQ...

Very delicious indeed....Thanks Doll♥️

So...
This is how my first day of September has gone so far...
What have you been up to??
Hot where you are???

My son is coming over, and boyfriend and I are going to treat him to dinner out!
Sounds like a perfect plan to me!!
Cooks night off!  I like it!!

Hope you are having a great day....
Enjoy the rest of it...

Happy September my friends!!

Cheers!  :o)

  1. Goodness Linda...this sounds like a perfect day. All that fun stuff AND dinner out. Fabulous! Love the vine photo. So pretty even if it is a sign of fall. There are plenty of signs around here, too. The sumacs are turning red already. Have a nice dinner out and hope the new doo looks great. :) Deb

Yes it is amazing how fast the Summer has gone . . . it always leaves me a little sad.

Coronation Street!! . . . you watch it there? I come fro, those there parts and used to speak like that . . lol
Do you watch the Australian soaps? Maria used to like Home and Away and we both watched Emmerdale. That takes place across the Pennines from Coronation Street.

  8. Now you just can't get any cuter toes and polish. Love your limelights and mums! You had a very productive day this first day of Sept. I had dinner out with the hubs and then a movie. We saw A Walk in The Woods. It was pretty good, but not as good as some old ladies in the theater thought. They laughed so hard I thought they would wet their pants or lose their dentures, one.

  16. Oh my I'm behind.....life got in the way when I was trying to visit blog friends. YOUR photos are marvelous. Several of them would make great headers...especially the vine in the tree. Love it. Your bright pink toes are happy. We got got a call that a dear friend (90) had passed away from our church up North. They asked my dearest to do the service so packing for a quick trip. One good thing, I will get to visit our old Pumpkin Patch (which I have missed) so I can gather some pumpkins to bring home.
Have a great week...will check in when we get back. Hugs

  18. I giggled a lot when I read this blog, I love the way you share your beauty secrets. Lovely "pedi" and I'm sure that your hair is looking good too. And now, thanks to you, I learned the name of our fountain grasses which we placed in the centre of a couple of our planters In the spring. I remember that you like Swiss Chalet, nice that you were there with your men. We drove up to St. Catherine's last night for Italian, it's a regular meet up spot with our friends who live in Niagara on the Lake. Take care...
