Backyard Shenanigans......

We had a few very busy days in the old backyard this week...
After the snow melted...
The Pumpkins were just right...for RED to get his fat face into them...
It was quite a performance...
Even with Miss V's applecore from lunch...
His appetite was ferocious!
Meanwhile...
Mr Black Squirrel was content to have a wee relax in the sunshine...
Ahhhh...Nature....how sweet!

Hope you are all having a great day...
Pretty darn unusual week for me...
Very emotional...indeed...

I truly want to thank of all you who commented...and emailed...
It was such an incredible outpouring of friendship...
I have said it before...
And I will say it again...

****I have the best peeps... EVER****

Thank you all sooooo much...♥️

We are off shortly for our weekly drive to the good old cottage...
Every week offers a new experience...
Will there be snow???
Will the lake be frozen???
Will we be able to get into the driveway???

Oh...such an adventure!!!  tee hee hee...

As promised..by me...I am adding a few Flowers for your viewing pleasure!
Peonies...from my garden...last Summer...are they not gorgeous??
And...another favorite...Geraniums...love them!!

And...scroll down...for a special message...hahaha!!

Here is RED...
Giving my troller the RASPBERRY...
With a pumpkin seed!!!
I laughed so hard at this photo...
You never know if you capture it...
And...
I think this says it all!!!

Enjoy your day...and your weekend...anything exciting going on???

                               Cheers! :o)

                                 linda ♥️

  1. Even though squirrels are the bain of my existence I have to admit those are the cutest pics ever !!!
If they didn't torment me I could learn to love them I suppose - but they do torment me and on a constant basis it would seem LOL

  3. I love our furry friends.
I've not put any seeds out yet this week.
The Naughties need new collars as we had some issues with the others.
Perhaps I need a hanging squirrel feeder.
I'm glad to see you are still with us in Blogland.

  7. You tell 'em Red! Great shots of the ever-present furry friends. I hope you're feeling better about things Linda. Sometimes you just need to put things in perspective and focus on things important to YOU. Enjoy your trip to the cottage (actually I thought you closed it up for the rest of winter?). That wind is SO cold this morning, but the sunshine makes it all better :) Such beautiful blue skies!

  8. Yep, that is a cute photo. I know what you mean when you say sometimes you aren't sure if you captured what you are after. It's always a bonus when you do. :) Have a fun time at the cottage. A nice day trip for you both. I'm baking and watching the acrobats going on at the feeders with my local squirrels. They really are nuts. You sent me an email that did not have any content. Not sure what happened. Have a great wknd, Linda. Deb

How is the lovely Rosa doing?
      Enquiringly minds need to know!

    2. Peter ~ brill time . . . he has a sharp sense of humour . . and loves taking the "mick already . . .
      I haven''t seen Rosa for a while but will do so soon. . . . :)
He works out different ways of describing where things are when he does not yet know the word . . for instance he describes the bathroom as the "Pee Room" when I asked him where my electric shaver was. LOL
      He likes watching me shave . . . :)

  15. Has Red ever been brave enough to come up close to you? Our squirrels scatter even if we just open a window! Same as the Steller's Jays.
Your flowers are beautiful. Some colour to brighten this blah January!

  16. Red is just too cute! He looks different from our squirrels. His snout seems to be shorter. And, I have never seen a black squirrel. Cool! What's not cool is that a squirrel has found my bird feeder. I think the Cardinals are making sure he stays away, but I caught him red-handed twice this week. Speaking of Cardinals, I had 9 in my shrubs today. 5 males and 4 females. It was glorious! Have a great weekend!

  24. It's funny (peculiar) that you never had any red squirrels until a few years ago. Once we only had red squirrels until they were introduced here in 19th C from N America. Our poor reds ran for their dear lives being somewhat smaller but now they are making a valiant comeback after regrouping in the south. . . :)

  25. Go Red - get that troll! Loved this post,Linda - squirrels are adorable. As are pink blooms!
