Mr Winter Has Arrived!
Yes...it is true...he has arrived in Southern Ontario... As seen through my windows as he arrived!! Actually got outside today... Enjoyed his arrival with Miss V... Don't kids just love the Winter?! I will share a few photos of the fun soon...
You are right about kids loving winter more than adults. I would be out playing in the snow for hours. Now it's how fast can I get into the house to get warm. Glad you had a good day with Miss V. Your pictures are lovely as always. I especially like the fourth one.
So pretty! I love how the snow nestles on the pine boughs! Hope you're staying warm. I was out in ours today and it was painfully bitter! Whew! Staying in for the rest of the week...all my errands are done!
Love to see these photos as it's sometimes not as picturesque in the city. I can just imagine that Miss V had a ball! I used to spend hours and hours in the snow when I was a kid. What a magical banner photo! Sometimes my phone does not show the banner but it did this time. Delightful!
Well I guess our skin is thinner as we age, plus kids are usually loaded down in waterproof layers. Makes me think of Ralphie's brother in A Christmas Story. So funny. He is so weighted down with his snowsuit he can't put his arms down to his side!
Just great! It's barely cold enough for a coat, today. But! The Weather Channel said there's a very slight possibility that we could see snow this weekend. So, that means the temps will plummet and I will keep looking out the window off and on, all night. Nothing like yours, but a girl can dream.
A very important question, how do we know that it's "Mr. Winter?" Maybe because of that old song, "Old Man Winter?" Not only was it bone chilling cold today, I had a back molar tooth pulled. Not fun. Looking forward to your photos of little Miss V. from today, glad you had fun despite the cold...brrr....and I love your new header, LSK....
Hahaha! We all know it is Mr Winter! Yes...very cold when we were outside with Miss V...around 12:30...I think the windchill was -17! Yikes! I kinda love the new header too! Must find one for February!
That does look cold. Thank goodness for Florida eh? It is white outside as I write, just one little storm, not even five minutes, but it's taking its time to melt!
Sweet picture of the Junco, Linda. We got 38 cm. here yesterday! It was a wild day and today it's so cold at -15 and windy too. Brr. I changed my hair appointment from this morning to tomorrow morning. Haha.
Yup old man winter dumped twice on us this week so far got more over night we have about a foot and a half of snow now . Your photos are soo pretty ! I bet Miss V loves playing in the snow I know I did as a kid and still do with my Miggs . Well off to shovel and snow blow . Thanks for sharing , have a good day be safe and cozy !
oh that pine and snow! and mrs bird all fluffed up in her finery to keep warm! beautiful! it's been like spring here the last week. now we're expecting an arctic front to move in over the weekend. though... very little snow. thanks for sharing yours!
Oh how I love snow! Unfortunately I don't get too see much of it here in Italy but looking at your pictures helps me to enjoy it virtually I guess :-) Have a great weekend!
Aren't the fir trees gorgeous this week? Yesterday was a perfect winter day here, sunny and no wind. Today a bit colder. I just keep thinking that we are half way through and it's been an easy winter so far. I want Spring (minus the mud) ha! Your photos are so pretty, Linda. Hugs to Miss V. Deb
Love Evergreens...all year! We have planted over a dozen at the cottage...I plan to buy more this Spring! It is nearly over...when does the construction start?
