Last Of The Geranium Blooms....

 Happy Friday to everyone!
this is the last bloom from my Summer Geraniums...
I brought them inside last November...
And they continued to bloom for me...
But...
This is the last of them all...
Now...
The trick will be...
To keep them alive all Winter...
They become very straggly...
Drop lots of leaves...
Look rather bedraggled by Spring...
But...
This will be their 3rd Summer here at home...
And...
They will be just as anxious as I...
To get back outside...
In the warm sunshine...

Thanks for all your lovely blooms Geranium!

This last guy...
Was a gift from a friend in early December...
The Poinsettia is still looking good...
Frosty Fern still growing...
And...
The best part of all...
The variegated Ivy!!
Will definitely try and keep her flourishing for a long time!
Oh yes...
My Elf is keeping watch for me...
Isn't he just so handsome?
Absolutely!

Today will be a drive down to the cottage...
Along the way...we will drop off some donations at our fav thrifty shop ...
Perhaps a few treasures will come home with me!!
Lunch somewhere...must be careful...I have been soooo good!!

Hope you all have a wonderful day...
Cloudy here...rain moving in tonight...
Still unseasonalby warm...after a brief cold snap...
Fine with me!

                                Cheers!  :o)

  1. My Geraniums are all doing well again for their second bloom since I brought them in in October they re all about 4 years old now , I trim them right back before I bring them in for the winter and that helps them I find , it is nice to have blooms inside over the winters and my African Violets well they also never disappoint me over the winters either lol ! It is cold out but pleasant as long as the winds aren't blowing , we have clouds but the sun peeked out every now and then , The sun rise that really didn't happen was pretty this morning with a orangy pink sky ! . Hope all is good at the cottage , Lovely photos yes nasty weather for the weekend they are saying a mix of all sorts . Have a good weekend !

  5. My geraniums have still been going outside in some shelter and still with some flowers, but we are due for very cold weather so I hope they will be OK! We will see, I might see if I can find some fleece to wrap them up in. xx

  10. do you really realize what a GIFT having a green thumb is?
it certainly enhances your life. and because of your photography... ours as well!
plants run screaming when they see me. i have long since stopped unwittingly torturing any of them!
they are all breathing a sigh of relief now. and i thank my lucky stars for people like you.
because i still get to enjoy them from afar! VERY afar! but still... LOLOL. XO♥

  11. You have a green thumb inside as well as outdoors, Linda! I'm wintering over my geraniums, too. I had them near a very sunny window and my Polish cleaning lady told me to keep them in a darker spot. But they've been blooming! She's usually right--I'll keep my eye on them. You aren't supposed to fertilize plants in the winter but I give I give mine a dose of Miracle Grow once a month.

Glad to hear you are dong well in the eating well department. Me, too! I've been out for dinner/lunch several times this week and have not once touched the bread basket nor have I had pasta or pizza when those around me did. Whew! Very hard!!!

It is darn hard to not eat the foods you crave..but...in the end it will be worth it!
      Enjoy your week,Jane!

  12. I didn't save my geraniums this year as they didn't do that great last summer from being kept last winter. I'm looking forward to the PEI tulips coming in at the Superstore soon to brighten up the dining room. I have 3 green plants near the dining room window now - my little jungle. ;)
