Friends For Lunch At The Beach Cottage......

Today was lunch here, with our friends Linda & Joe...

We have known them for over 30 years...met in Canada....they moved to Florida....

They ran a cute  motel in Clearwater for years....

We....and our family had stayed there often over the years....

Very fond memories there....

They are now back in Canada part time....and spend the winters in Largo Florida....

In a lovely home on a small lake....

We always get together when we are down.....and they have visited our cottage at home....

Excuse the Saran Wrap on the water jug....did not want any visitors before we sat down!

We took a nice beach walk....catching up on each other's news....

Sat and lingered after lunch.....more chit chat! Well......mostly me and Linda♥️

Boyfriend and Joe got too much sun....we were smart and stayed at the table....in the shade!

Lunch was great!

I did burgers and homemade potato salad....perfect!

Hope you all had a great weekend....

Hot and toasty here....

      Enjoy your evening...

                Cheers!  :o)

                     Linda ♥️

  2. It looks like no winter ever comes to Florida. What a pretty table setting and perfect place for lunch with friends. It must be great living so close to the sea - and it does look at lot like Queensland to me :)

  6. How nice that you have these long-time friends meet up with you in sunny Florida! Love that table, and lunch looks yummy :) I think it's kind of cool that your two beach chairs match your two cottage chairs ... maybe you planned it that way? Enjoy the heat and the shade! Gorgeous day here too.

  17. We had Canadian visitors camping across the road from us at the beach a few years ago. Every evening I watched the lady set her table, much like yours. I was amazed that she used real wine glasses, dinnerware, placements and napkins on a picnic table, while camping. She also turned her glasses upside down like you did. I loved watching her and admired her sophistication. Your table setting is beautiful!

I am having a rough time keeping up with blogs lately.
I do hope Florida is treating you well, at least better than our weather is treating us today.
