Didn't want you all to think that I have vanished off the face of the earth this year...
Had a very busy 2 days!!
We had our favorite house guest...and WE WERE BUSY!
I have been trying to keep up reading your posts...love to hear what plans you have for The New Year...or not!! I am not making any wild promises...gonna take this one, one day at a time...
Lots of changes for this gal...with my boyfriend retired...things will be a LOT different around here...until we get the feel for this!! oh, I am used to having him around...he has worked from home for a number of years...but this will be different...FOR SURE!! He asked me what I was going to do when I retire!!! WHAAAAAT??? I don't really think that I get to retire...don't you agree ladies??? There will always be my usual things that keep my days full and busy...perhaps I should try and relax more...yeah,that's it!!!
****Attention Everyone****
My New Years Resolution....is....to...RELAX more....ok...stop laughing...I am also laughing...hahaha!!! I am not good at that...unless I have a crochet hook going...or a good book in my hands. Oh well...it was worth a try...and I may just make an effort to accomplish this one!! Wish me luck!!!
We also took Miss V out to the cottage last week...I am working on that post...
Can you all believe how warm it has been since New Year's??
No snow...all melted with the rain...but...I hear we are in for a big freeze at the end of the week...well...this is Winter...and this is Canada...bring it on!!!
I hope you all had a great holiday...and are settling back into your routines...
I am going to go to fitness in the am...I really need to do this!!!!!!!
I had lost 11 lbs before my son's wedding....and guess what??? It found me!
Life goes on,eh.......
Enjoy your evening...
Be back soon with a cottage post...
Cheers! :o)
linda ♥️
HaHa...thanks for a fun post, and a chuckle or two. I can't believe how grown up Miss V looks. She was adorable, now she beautiful.
ReplyDeleteRetirement....not what you think. I've never been this busy...but a good book, and for me a watercolor brush is another goal this year.
Hugs.
A real young lady now💕
DeleteNot worried about me being busy....yes, you should definitely do more painting...you are so good!
Happy New Year and wishing you a joy-filled year!
ReplyDeleteMy husband is retired and I am retiring, at least from my job and commute outside of our home, next month. And on my birthday - fun!
What fun! I am a February baby too!
DeleteI am having a hard time catching up with myself. These past two weeks are making me tired.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping to find my "rhythm" this year and to be able to relax in it.
Love your little Miss V!
:0)
So busy,and then nothing!
DeleteEnjoy your visitors!
I love miss V pictures. She is lovely !
ReplyDeleteHappy new year again !!hugs !

DeleteMiss V looks so cute under that afghan!
ReplyDeleteYes she does! Made with love!
DeleteWhat a cute little house guest...and how luck she is to be able to snuggle with one of your beautiful creations! Love the colors!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right...the lady of the house does not retire! She still cooks, cleans, hosts, and makes sure everyone is happy. haha! But we love it because we are fantastic at it, right? :)
Warm here, too until today.....brrr!
She loves to snuggle...she was watching Kung Fu Panda!
DeleteNo retiring for me....and yes....we are DARN good! Hahaha!
Very windy and cold here....brrrrrr

I like to keep busy too..I love home..so this girl enjoys not working out of the house anymore..freezing rain..looks like an ice village.
I was telling my friend about Mathilda!
DeleteYou are always so positive Monique...that is why I like you so much!
No rain here...just blustery and cold!
I see a fire in my future!
What a cute little visitor you have. Or should I say big visitor since she seems to get bigger with each visit! It is a big adjustment to retirement. It took me a few months to get there but now I love it and wouldn't want it any other way. I always say I am busier now than when I worked. You are right, a woman never really retires.
ReplyDeleteShe is getting very tall....and smarter every day!
DeleteI think woman are naturally busier....I always fill my days with something!
Relax, that is a great goal. I'm so relaxed I will be falling asleep soon! I'm working on a granny square blanket out of left over yarn. Weather is getting blustery this afternoon, snow blowing in and temperatures dropping.
ReplyDeleteWake up Linda! Hahaha! I am really gonna work on the relaxing bit....I would love to see your afghan! You gonna show us?
DeleteVery blustery here....and cold!
Well, glad about more fitness for you, that way I get to see you more often, just saying. :) Yes, our few warm days turned into freezing windy ones today, brr. Definitely agree with you about ladies never really retiring....very different from our men. And Miss V. looks so cute all snuggled up in your lovely afghan. Take care, lsk...
ReplyDeleteNever ever retire....ever....ever! Hahaha!
DeleteShe quite liked the afghan...not finished it yet! Working on it this evening...
See you at Fitness!
A fun post for New Year, and Miss V busier than ever with her cookery is too cute. So interesting re the boyfriend retiring, mine works from home also, and I wonder what will happen when he retires. I fill my days, as you do, and what happens when they are 'under your feet' all the time? I like your NY resolution - RELAX - yep, I'll try that one too :)
ReplyDeleteYes...first thing she always asks me! We must branch out...make something different!
DeleteTrying to relax more...
Time will tell with the retirement! He has a wee bit of OCD...so....that keeps him busy! 😂
Such a precious Miss V. I still cannot get over how much she has grown in the past year... and my own as well. So fast. They change and grow daily. I love her crocheted afghan, looks like she does, too! :) Evan is still not to retirement... I'm already cringing a little at the adjustments that will come. LOL! We ARE busy little bees... I'll look forward to seeing how you navigate. blessings and hugs ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteI am still working on that afghan! She loves to snuggle up in them!
DeleteYour Evan is handy! My boyfriend , not so much! Hahaha! We'll see!
Isn't she lovely?
ReplyDeleteGrowing into a beautiful young lady.
And isn't she talented in the kitchen . . . . yums all round.
Hmm! Somehow I can't see you relaxing for long . . . lol (unlike me . . .)
Hope your New Year has started well for you and will continue that way . . :)
HI Eddie....nice to see you!
DeleteYes....she is lovely....and yes, I am doing good!
Hope you and yours are happy and well...

ReplyDeleteWelcome Diana....
DeleteHappy to have you here...it will be fun getting to know you...
I actually think I relax when I am busy too! 😂😂😂
She looks so cute munching away and lying under the afghan. What a sweet girl.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Moms and wives ever get to retire... unless they hire a maid or butler!
But I do hope you are able to relax more. You deserve it!
I will def try!!
DeleteSo sweet it breaks my heart, actually, in a weird way.
