From time to time...
I get to thinking....
Perhaps my flower posts are getting to be a bit too much for people...
Perhaps I need to spice things up...
Write about something else...
But what???
Perhaps...
Something deep and thoughtful...
Perhaps...
Something about the state of the world...
Perhaps...
Something earth shattering...
Perhaps...
Something thought provoking...
Or...
Perhaps...
Something beautiful and then something adorable...
After all...
I am pretty one-dimensional, you know...
So....
Guess what you are getting today???
MORE FLOWERS!!!
What else??
This is the second flush of peonies...
The deep pink...
And the pale pink...
Also a few more white ones appeared...
Too bad they are so shortlived...
How fabulous if they bloomed alllll summer!!
That wasn't all I did yesterday...
We looked after sweet cheeks ...
And she had a 2 hour nap!!!
So happy about that...
First time...she has really settled into the playpen here...
She loves my frogs in the dining room!!!
Hi Granny!!!

DeleteAnd...I guess...my blog reflects what I am...so I won't try and change..
Not the blog....or me!
Just a though....what are you doing when Google reader is done in July? Are you switching to Bloglovin' or something else? I've been looking at Bloglovin' this evening but not getting many answers as to how it works on the blog or where it shows up with the reader. Have you looked into it? I'd love some input. Thanks. Pam

You are an inspiration for me to cut my flowers and bring them inside. (I thought I left you a comment here last night, but it looks like I didn't...)
ReplyDeleteGlad you came back and did so!!!
DeleteOh those peonies are absolutely the best - my favourite flower!! The last little flower is quite the wee gal - she is darling and bet those "sweet cheeks" get lots of kisses from Granny!! Love it!!!
ReplyDeleteThese are all my mom's...so they are extra special!
DeleteKissing is my latest hobby!! hahaha!
Love the peonies. They are gorgeous! Sweet Cheeks was waving at me! She misses me, too, haha!
ReplyDeleteI am sure she does, Devon...
DeleteI waaait for peonies to bloom every year! I actually know every house on my way to the market that has them, and I peek every time I go by this time of year! They are just plain beautiful, and they smell so fresh! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Sylvie...Peonies are really beautiful!
DeletePeony question. If you cut the stems of the blooms with tight buds not yet opened, will they open in the house? I have heard that you should only cut 2/3 of a peony plant in order that it gives better bloom. Ina Garten says to cut the plant as it grows, buds on stem etc., but I keep thinking if I just cut the big bloom, the remaining buds will burst out. Then the stems are so short you practically have to float them! Maybe that's more than one question. Any thoughts????
