Bridal Wreath Spirea......& Other Things

As soon as we drove in the driveway...

It was quite evident...

That...

The Magnificent...

Bridal Wreath Spirea...

Was...

In full bloom...

All over the property...

The next thing that caught my eye...

Was...

My Oakleaf Hydrangea...

Bigger and better this weekend...

Made a small bouquet for the kitchen porch...

And brought a few home, as I am sure they will be done very soon...

Even my Chives were putting on a display....

Delicious.......and.......Beautiful!!!

This White sweet smelling Phlox...

Still going strong...

Ditto for the...

Cranesbill Blue Geraniums...

Did not expect to see this Pink Phlox....

Seems early to me....

Oh well...

Still...

Beautiful...

One last "Hurrah" for this pink Tulip...

Beautiful...

Isn't it???

Star of Bethlehem grows EVERYWHERE!!

In the lawn...

On the driveway...

On the sidewalk...

It will soon be finished...

And then..

My boyfriend...

Can...

With my blessing..

Run over it...

With his beloved...

Lawnmower!!

Thursday evening was by far the best of the 3....

Clouds rolled in...

And we had rain overnite....Not so humid at the cottage...

Probably because it was so DARNED windy!!!

More pics to follow....

Other surprises in the garden!

Hope you all had a great day...

A lot cooler today...

My boyfriend and I got the deck here at home, stained this morning...

Looks pretty darn good....yes...I took pictures!!! hahaha!

On the menu tonight....

           Pepper Steak...

Seasoned with Worcestershire Sauce..And Cajun spices..

With peppers, green onions and grape tomatoes...

With a sauce of thickened Soy Sauce, cornstarch and water...

                        Served over No-Yolk noodles...

                                           Quite delicious...for a chilly evening...

                           Cheers!     :o)

  1. Lots of your flowers look familiar. Love the spireas, unless they get wildly out of control. Maybe my son knows how to tame them better than me.

The weather cooled off dramatically since yesterday. It was a good day to get some housework done. Do you think there might be a way to string a bunch of Mondays together so I can get the whole house clean at once?

  3. Wow that bridal spirea hedge is gorgeous! I love that shrub and had two at one time but they died. I wish shrubs and trees bloomed all summer long don't you? We had high heat and humidity all weekend for 4 days along with thunder storms Friday, Saturday and Sunday too. There was even a tornado watch for northern NB yesterday! Crazy weather. Going to be much cooler and dryer this week though.

  5. You have such beautiful bloomers showing off in your garden. I love bridal wreath spireas, which always remind me of the shore here -- old cottages by the beach always had huge bridal wreath spireas around them and the giant shrubs next to the tiny beach houses always looked just right. Love the shots of your cottage and deck!

  6. The bridal wreath spirea is spectacular this year. You have lots in bloom, and a tulip hanging on. It looks like it will be anice day today, no wind which will make it warmer.
