Still recuperating...
I was on the couch crocheting...
When I looked around the Family Room...
At the flowers that my daughters had brought me for Easter....
The Gerbera Daisies...which are 2 weeks in my house...
Are still looking quite beautiful...
I have snipped their stems and given them a fresh drink...
And they are very grateful...and showing that...
By...continuing to be wonderful to look at...
Is still looking fabulous...
While fiddling around taking pictures, I tried a few of the settings on my camera...
This is called "Toy Camera Effect"...
Blurries the edges...
I kind of like this...
For the right subject, it is quite effective!
The White Stephanotis below, once the white flowers fell off...it looks like tiny yellow ones appear...how cool is that?
The other flowers I received...
Was...a multi-colored Kalanchoe...
Another of my very favorite plants...
This planter came with Yellow, Deep Pink and a Pale Pink...
Such a lovely, long-lasting plant...
The paler pink one, reminds me of a Hydrangea...
What do you think?
This is another effect...
Called"Super Vivid"....
You can really see the difference...
This is my favorite shot...
The setting is "Toy Camera" again...
This will be one of my cards ....FOR SURE!!!
Isn't it great...
To just look around your house...
And see such spectacular things....
It certainly took my mind off my health issues...
I saw the Dr today...great news...my lungs are 99% clear...YAY!!!
I will finish off my antibiotics...and take some sinus medication...
As now...I am getting post-nasal drip...no biggie...so happy!!!
I hope you are all having a great day...
While posting this...thunder literally shook the house...
Lightning flashed....and we had HAIL!!!!
It has calmed down now...but we are expecting a lousy freezing rain storm...
Tonight into Friday....:o(
Glad I got my boyfriend to go to the market...and stock up!!!!
The cottage [North Shores of Lake Erie] is under a severe rain warning...
Along with high winds...will stir up the beach FOR SURE!!!!
Perhaps a Sunday drive to check out the situation...:o)
On the menu tonight...
Roasted Tilapia...wild rice...bok-choy & brussell sprouts...
Too bad I got my ferocious [kidding...hahaha] appetite back...
I had lost 6 lbs...the only GOOD thing in the last while!
Stay safe from the weather...
Cheers! :o)

Linda, I'm happy to hear that you are on the mend! That's great news. I love your flower photos. They are all beautiful and the 'toy camera' setting is fun. I'm amazed that the Gerberas lasted so long. Stay safe from that storm. I guess it's coming this way Friday and Saturday. Snow for us. :( Take care. Blessings, Pam
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam...Love the Gerberas!!!
DeleteMy daughter is a floral designer and picks the freshest flowers!
roasted tilapia is the marine's favorite.
ReplyDeletethose pictures are all just exquisite.
so glad you are better! xo
I thought they came out pretty darn good...if I may say so myself!!
DeleteThe tilapia was delish...the Marine has great taste!
Sure is soggy outside today! The worms came out to die in the driveway. I think it was a little bit too cold for them and they weren't dressed right.
ReplyDeletePretty flowers!
That is funny, Martha!
DeleteNever thought of worms being dressed!!
I'm glad you're doing better, Linda. Your flowers are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jennifer...I love the way they brighten up the house!
DeleteGood to hear your lungs are just about clear. Lovely blooms. I really must play around with my new camera settings as well. I tend to use the same ones all the time.
ReplyDeleteRain has stopped here but more coming tomorrow and hopefully the ice rain doesn't make it here.
Forgot to add that the new header is lovely.
DeleteI am actually feeling kinda tired right now...
DeleteTime to hit the couch...and do some more crocheting!
You should experiment with the settings...what can go wrong??
Thanks about the header...I just wish I could get the correct size to fill the whole width!!
Glad you are feeling a bit better! Don't overdo, now! :) Sitting and knitting is good for you!
ReplyDeletelove the gerberas...they still look wonderful. All those tiny petals! And the camera efffects are very cool!
We're supposed to get tornadoes with our storm! Eeek!
I think I am starting to really get to know my "new" camera...
DeleteCan't wait to take pics of my flowers this summer...
We are only scheduled for freezing rain...listen to me...ONLY!!!
I see your temps in Ohio were quite high the last few days..we have not been as lucky up here...
Good luck tomorrow....check in so we know you are ok!
The flowers are beautiful but best of all you are feeling better! Sending chicken soup (homemade) and hugs.
ReplyDeleteEven better...how are you feeling???
DeleteThanks for the soup!
Such pretty flowers! I am so, so glad that you got a good report from the Dr. You keep on taking it easy though, and get all the way over this!!!
