One of my favorite...
Most versatile...
Hearty....
Easy to grow....
ANYWHERE...
Plant...
The Sedum...
Belonging to the CRASSULACEAE Family...
Members commonly known as "Stonecrop"...
The name certainly suits...
AS..
It seems to grow ANYWHERE!!!
These are a few photos from summers past...
Hope you enjoy them...
Sedums start out like tiny cabbages...
As the summer progresses...they grow larger and pinker...
The Monarch Butterflies love them....
As...do I...
They look fabulous thru all the seasons....and so easy to care for...
Check out this sweet photo of Vivian...
A friend of her Moms' took it....
This should be in a frame....yes????
We are heading out to the cottage...to do some raking!!!
Hopefully a nice sunny day...
Will report back with anything new!!!!
Have a wonderful day...
Cheers! :o)

Ah Vivian in the famous Bumbo chair! The sedums are cute too, but not half as cute. Really.

Had a very productive day at the cottage...
DeleteVivian is beautiful isn't she??
I have one sedum plant and it does very well here in the desert. They really can grow anywhere! Vivian is so adorable, I just want to pinch her chubby cheeks. What a sweet little girl.
ReplyDeleteYes....they are also a succulent...
DeleteThanks Jennifer...
Ooo! I love the log planter! We have 3 stumps in our yard and I don't know what to do with them. Cool idea!
ReplyDeleteGlad I could be of assistance, Birdie...
DeleteI have several log planters...I will try and find the photos!
I love sedum and you're right, it will grow anywhere. I've even stuck 1 stem in the ground that was accidentally broken off and it has grown into a big bush! It is very hardy and will grow in sun and shade. Great pictures. l like the pale pink blooms. That is a sweet photo of Vivian. Love her smile.
ReplyDeleteVery versatile plant....When we bought the cottage, there were literally 100's of them, that I have transplanted there and here at home...
DeleteVivian has a very infectious smile!!
Must get me some of the easy to grow, grow anywhere Sedum! Just the thing for some places in my yard.
ReplyDeleteVivian is adorable! What is that Bumbo thingee?
I will get you your Bamboo as soon as it appears...
DeleteThe "Bumbo" thingee is a chair of sorts...
love, love, love sedums of all sorts ... did lots of raking while the carpet was being put down .. found lots and lots poking through the ground.
ReplyDeleteAdorable Vivian ... you should get it printed on the picture board that they do at Walmart.
I just might do that Linda....great idea!!!
DeleteI have a few sedum...it is lovely. I love the leaves and the blooms and how it changes color later on. Enjoy the cottage this weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat little granddaughter of your is getting cuter all the time!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I don't have any sedum in my outdoor gardens, they are something I've always found alluring. Maybe I'll have to hunt some down this year. :)
