What I've Been Up To......

As I put in yet another day here....

With this miserable weather...

Thought I would share...

What I've been up to...

Kinda feeling "sorry" for myself...

I got to thinking...

I had forgotten all the pics that I had downloaded before i got sick...

So....

I am going to share some of them with you now...

You must remember this sweet sweater that I made Vivian...

Well...

I changed up the buttons...

I had originally put several different kinds of tortoise shell coloured buttons...

I thought....

I didn't love it...

So...

Off to Fabricland...

And they had a special on...

But one...Get two free...

Really???

OK...

I'm in...

SO....

I bought one and got two free...

Each package came with 3 different sizes...

So I picked...

Lime Green...

Mauve...

Turqouise...

Pretty good deal, eh???

I figured I would use those colors a lot...

As the wool I have been using for a few things for Vivian....kinda fits into that category...

I made Vivian a hat one night before Easter....

Isn't that adorable...

Didn't call for a flower...

But...

I think it really adds a lot...

Frames her sweet face!!!

I hadn't sewn the button on yet...

But...

I think the Lime green is absolutely perfect!!!!

The pink one came out so cute...

I made another one...

All from wool that I had left over...

And the buttons...

Just...

Perfect!!!

The day that we babysat her...

While her Mom was at the BLue Jay opener...

I was lucky enough...

To get these few shots...

Of her...

In her cute hat!!!

As you can see...

Vivian is also a Toronto Maple Leafs fan!!

Just like her Mom and Grampa!!

For the past while...

I have been working on an afghan for her...

Using all the colors of the things I have made for her...

I chose a big Granny Square pattern...

You just keep going around...

Pretty easy...

Should be finished soon...

Hope you are all having a great day...

I am feeling wayyyy better again today...

I got busy in the kitchen first thing...

Made a pot of spaghetti sauce...

And baked up a delicious Coffee Cake...

Let's hope the forecasters are wrong, and we don't get an Ice Storm!!!

I also need to give you all the recipe for the Banana Cream Pie...

Will do shortly.....Promise!!

On the menu tonight...guess what???

            Spaghetti of course...and some salad...

Enjoy the rest of your day!!

I am headed to the couch...for a coffee ...some cake..

And some more crocheting!!!

                            Cheers!   :o)

  3. Glad to hear you are getting better. I so love to see what you are up to. That girl is absolutely precious. I live vicariously through my friends that are Grandmothers' also. My hubby and I don't have children, however we helped raise our nephew from 13 years old to now 23 and graduating in next couple of weeks from Criminal Justice. So proud of him! Best Wishes, Dot.

  11. Linda, the sweater, hat and afghan are so very pretty. I like that you made the afghan out of the asme colours as the other things you made for her. Vivian looks adorable in her Blue Jays tee shirt. I hope you don't get the ice storm. We're getting snow from this one - 10 cm or more. Take care of yourself. Pam

  12. Lovely colours on the crochet blanket. I've been neglecting my crochet/knitting lately ... need to get some new projects.
Weather has been dull here, no rain or snow but ice rain is now predicted overnight. We'll see what comes.
