Hot Orangey Sedums.....
When I ventured into the backyard yesterday...
For a peek around....
This pot of Sedum was sitting on the outdoor table...
It has been there since the Fall...
But for some reason...
It caught my eye...
Just look at that brilliant colour!!!!
I think I will go and cut them...
Before the big storm blows in tonight...
They would look awesome in a small vase...
Don't you think???? Perhaps I will go and do that now...
Take a picture...yes...I'm on it....back in a flash....hahaha!
*****************
Okay....fast forward about one hour....
Got sidetracked on my way to cut the sedums....
Does that happen to you? On a mission...what was I doing again?? haha!
Anyway.......they look spectacular!!!!
Put them in a small brown bottle I had...
They are now in the family room....looking very nice...I must say!
Hope you are all having a great day....
Temps here 13*c!!!!!
Lots of melting going on....only to be smothered again tonight and tomorrow with 20 + cm of snow........:o(
I guess I should have gone to the store....but...nope...I stayed in!
But.....I am heading out shortly....to have pizza with my daughter and
Miss V....
I will take my camera....hate to miss a photo-op! hahaha!
Think I'll drop into Walmart....I need a new hair dryer...mine is making a grinding noise....not good!
Been thinking of letting my doodle grow a bit....been cutting it myself for a few months....if I take a few pics....can you guys help me decide what to do???
Huh??? Could 'ya???
That would be swell...........hahaha!
Enjoy your evening....
Cheers! :o)

That deep apricot colour is my all time favorite. I love them in the brown vase.It is beautiful here, too, today. I'm just back from walking the old dog and boy did he enjoy that. I think he sniffed every blade of brown grass he could find. Dinner with Miss V...now that would be fun. We are having manicotti tonight with garlic bread and salad. Sometimes I get on a pasta kick. Give Miss V a hug for me. Deb
ReplyDeleteDogs love to sniff, eh?
DeleteLove manicotti....haven't made that in ages....
Gave miss V the hug.....she sends one back.....
beautiful color and air dried, perfect!!!!! No bugs could survive that cold, I would love to see your hair, I'm thinking of changing mine,
ReplyDeleteI guess cause they were up on the table...they dried nicely!
DeleteI will think about the hair thingy.....ha!
Happy Pizza Eating. Hope it's good.
ReplyDeleteDelicious! Cause I didn't have to lift a finger......♥️
DeleteOh, see for me that's the fun part. I'm not much into takeaway pizza. Rather make it at home.
Delete13C! It must be Spring soon surely!
ReplyDeleteSurely NOT!
Delete30 cms of snow tomorrow......blah!
i think you are the PERFECT flapper at heart.
ReplyDeletei love that bob.
so cute on any age any person. at least i think so!
do you ever watch ' miss fisher ' the mystery series from Australia? just like hers! it's just adorable!
you can google it. essie davis plays the lead. xoxo
Miss Fisher is a GREAT series ... love her clothes and hair ... so much fun and good mysteries, too!
DeleteDo I have a bob?
Deletegot interrupted by a telemarketing phone call. HATE THAT.
ReplyDeletebefore i came back... i googled essie davis as phryne fisher. all kinds of great fisher hair photos came up!
just LOVE this series. such fun. and such sumptuous clothes she wears! OH! that era did have style.
Checked it out....couldn't get a clear idea of her hair....
DeleteI do like bobs though...
Leave it with me........
Oh, no. More snow on its way? I hope it's not bad. I have some pink sedums but I've never let them dry. Yours look so pretty like that, I should try leaving them this year.
ReplyDeleteYup....more ****snow!
DeleteThese sedums were pink....this was quite a surprise....
Those sedums look gorgeous. I was inspired and took a look around my backyard but the sedums are still covered with piles of snow! Such a beautiful warm day today only to be dumped on tomorrow :(
ReplyDeleteMy other ones are covered as well....guess cause they were up on the table....
Deletethose sedums are gorgeous, glad you got them cut down before the nasty weather tomorrow ... told you there would be snow for my birthday :)
ReplyDeletewent shopping ... looked at the Live Clean products in Walmart ... bought the exotic nectar body lotion ... have lots of shampoo and conditioner to use before I try those ones out .. will be sharing with vegetarian daughter who is also a great animal activist and she'll love they are 95% plant based
That is the same lotion I have.....hope you like it♥️
DeleteRub it all over for your birthday!
Wow, I didn't realize the sedum turned so orangey in the winter. They look great. Mine are buried under 2 feet of snow and about to buried under another foot after this big storm comes from your neck of the woods tomorrow night and Thursday. I bought a new hair dryer at Wal*art for $20. and it has the ionizer button and a diffusing attachment (the narrow slot one). I like the way it dries my hair. My hair salon wanted $60. or $70. for one. Ha! So you're going for a new do are you? Do you have pics of your hair longer to share for a comparison? I like the style of it now and think it's very becoming but it's fun to change every now and then. Stay cozy in the storm.
ReplyDeleteI do have a few pics...still debating whether to be so darned conceited!
DeleteThanks for saying,though......
We can compare snow tomorrow!
I was in Walmart today, too! Birdseed and a few other things.
ReplyDeleteAre you on Pinterest? That is a great place to look for haircuts and hairstyles. Just type in short or medium length and you'll get tons of ideas.
Girls night out, huh? Have fun!
I bought birdseed too! Hahaha!
DeleteHad fun with Miss V....♥️
Will check out Pinterest...although....I find it very daunting!
I noticed mine are that same colour. Never noticed them going that colour before. Yes I hear we are in for another snow storm.
ReplyDeleteYikes to the snow......
DeleteThe sedums are amazing, such a wonderful colour!! Ours dry out and stay over the winter, but they turn to brown mush by the end of January, they never look as stunning as yours, especially in that fabulous brown bottle!! It makes a beautiful display. Hope that the snow just blows on past!! xx
ReplyDeleteI guess it must be MOI....that make them so stunning! Hahaha!
DeleteSnow on its way....and freezing rain....YAY
13 C is even warmer than it was here today!
ReplyDeleteI love your little dancing leprechaun and little Ms. V in her wee hat. :-)
Yes....took that shot last year....
DeleteI will try and get one this year! Hahaha!
I have been so tempted to trim my own hair. I used to do it between cuts when I was younger ... can't remember what happened to make me stop! Might give it a try ... not that pleased with what I'm getting at the hair salon for $30+ ... I keep telling them how I want it to look and it never does ... always leaves too much hair on and within days it's looking raggy again! What's the worst that can happen? It always grows out ..... ;-)
ReplyDeleteYes.....exactly.....I have the same problem!
DeleteI grow it a bit...ask her to do this or that....and she just does what SHE wants!
She is my neighbour...but doesn't read my blog.....thank god!
I go there for color....then I do it myself a week later!
I haven't been since the first week of January...trimmed in Florida...trimmed this week...MYSELF!
Oh.....the perils of hair, eh linda?
We'll be comparing snow pictures tomorrow, but today was absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWhatever shows up won't last long.
I stopped in the store on my way home from lunch and what do you think I bought? Just on bottle of foaming hand soap. ha ha!
*one, one bottle
DeletePretty exciting stuff Martha! Hahaha!
DeleteYes.....we will compare snow tomorrow....pictures required!
Enjoyed all the comments...I think you hair looks so cute in all the pictures I've seen. I'm really enjoying my shorter cut.
ReplyDeleteHey, I bought birdseed too. We must have a lot of happy birds.
Spent most of the day in the kitchen, and made another of your yummy coffee cakes.
Sending hugs and smiles.
Glad you are enjoying that breakfast bread...made one myself last week!
DeleteI would still keep my hair short...just not SO short.....more one length...not layered....
Snowing today....kitchen day for me!
What a wonderful color and they look perfect in the glass that color. no more snow. please.
ReplyDeleteMore snow here.....not sure about where you are....
DeleteStay warm....it won't be long now, Candice.....
Hi Linda. That brown sedum, looks fabulous against the blue scroll of your tablecloth! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteSorry bout the snow. I wish it were Spring for you too. Hope you enjoyed the pizza and visit with daughter and Miss V.
I am also trying to decide what to do with my hair. Grow, or cut? Would be happy to help you too. If I could!
xo Kris
