Hot Orangey Sedums.....

When I ventured into the backyard yesterday...

For a peek around....

This pot of Sedum was sitting on the outdoor table...

It has been there since the Fall...

But for some reason...

It caught my eye...

Just look at that brilliant colour!!!!

I think I will go and cut them...

Before the big storm blows in tonight...

They would look awesome in a small vase...

Don't you think???? Perhaps I will go and do that now...

Take a picture...yes...I'm on it....back in a flash....hahaha!

                                    *****************

Okay....fast forward about one hour....

Got sidetracked  on my way to cut the sedums....

Does that happen to you?   On a mission...what was I doing again?? haha!

Anyway.......they look spectacular!!!!

Put them in a small brown bottle I had...

They are now in the family room....looking very nice...I must say!

Hope you are all having a great day....

Temps here 13*c!!!!!

Lots of melting going on....only to be smothered again tonight and tomorrow with 20 + cm of snow........:o(

I guess I should have gone to the store....but...nope...I stayed in!

But.....I am heading out shortly....to have pizza with my daughter and
Miss V....

I will take my camera....hate to miss a photo-op! hahaha!

Think I'll drop into Walmart....I need a new hair dryer...mine is making a grinding noise....not good!

Been thinking of letting my doodle grow a bit....been cutting it myself for a few months....if I take a few pics....can you guys help me decide what to do???

Huh??? Could 'ya???
That would be swell...........hahaha!

Enjoy your evening....

                            Cheers!  :o)

  1. That deep apricot colour is my all time favorite. I love them in the brown vase.It is beautiful here, too, today. I'm just back from walking the old dog and boy did he enjoy that. I think he sniffed every blade of brown grass he could find. Dinner with Miss V...now that would be fun. We are having manicotti tonight with garlic bread and salad. Sometimes I get on a pasta kick. Give Miss V a hug for me. Deb

  10. Wow, I didn't realize the sedum turned so orangey in the winter. They look great. Mine are buried under 2 feet of snow and about to buried under another foot after this big storm comes from your neck of the woods tomorrow night and Thursday. I bought a new hair dryer at Wal*art for $20. and it has the ionizer button and a diffusing attachment (the narrow slot one). I like the way it dries my hair. My hair salon wanted $60. or $70. for one. Ha! So you're going for a new do are you? Do you have pics of your hair longer to share for a comparison? I like the style of it now and think it's very becoming but it's fun to change every now and then. Stay cozy in the storm.

Are you on Pinterest? That is a great place to look for haircuts and hairstyles. Just type in short or medium length and you'll get tons of ideas.

  13. The sedums are amazing, such a wonderful colour!! Ours dry out and stay over the winter, but they turn to brown mush by the end of January, they never look as stunning as yours, especially in that fabulous brown bottle!! It makes a beautiful display. Hope that the snow just blows on past!! xx

  15. I have been so tempted to trim my own hair. I used to do it between cuts when I was younger ... can't remember what happened to make me stop! Might give it a try ... not that pleased with what I'm getting at the hair salon for $30+ ... I keep telling them how I want it to look and it never does ... always leaves too much hair on and within days it's looking raggy again! What's the worst that can happen? It always grows out ..... ;-)

    1. Yes.....exactly.....I have the same problem!
I grow it a bit...ask her to do this or that....and she just does what SHE wants!
She is my neighbour...but doesn't read my blog.....thank god!
I go there for color....then I do it myself a week later!
I haven't been since the first week of January...trimmed in Florida...trimmed this week...MYSELF!
Oh.....the perils of hair, eh linda?
