What Spring Really Looks Like....
As I awoke to rain...dreariness...windiness...I got to thinking...
This is not like the SPRINGS I remember...
So...I went searching...and BOY did I find some great SPRING pics...
The delicate blooms...
The Birds enjoying life...
Garden beds all raked from their Winter nap...
Robins bob-bob-bobbing along...and splashing in the bird bath...
Summer screens up....ready to prepare the sunporch...
Late day sun shadows...so warm...so tasty!!
Ahhhh..but not yet...we have to wait a wee bit longer...
To finally enjoy...
All that SPRING has to offer...
But for now...
I think the boyfriend and I will build a beach bonfire...
Sit back...watch the sunset...♥️
********
Hope you are all having a great day...
Can you believe April is next week???
I am ready......
Are you?
Cheers! :o)

I'm sure that the sun shone brighter and for longer when I was a child!!!!! I know, I know, it did in Australia!! But I'm sure that it shone longer and brighter in England too!! It definitely did when I lived in the US!!! xx
ReplyDeleteYou sure have been a world traveller.....Spring all over the world!
DeleteWhere I live we don't get real spring until the end of May, and part of June. Mostly, we get mud. Mud is what we call spring. But I don't mind.
ReplyDeleteOh....sad!
DeleteWhere do you live? Mud town? Mudville? Hahaha!
The dogs love it. Today Bug was covered.
DeleteYou take such beautiful pictures Linda. I always enjoy seeing what you see in your yard and on the beach, at the lake, out the window. The photos are always clear and sharp too. Did you notice what the dates were on those pictures? Was it April or May or June? Do you think it will be June before we see that this year?? I sure hope not. I'm glad April is next week. We need a change. lol
ReplyDeleteI looked it up Pam....last April....towards the end.....awesome,eh?
DeleteThanks for your kind words....♥️

Oh joy.....to see some actual sunshine, if only on-screen! Your Robins are so different from ours and I always love seeing them. xx
ReplyDeleteWhereas....I LOVE your Robins....so tiny and cute!
DeleteThat is what spring SHOULD look like! Let's hope it does soon. What a winter this has been. It just doesn't want to go away. I'm so looking forward to being able to sit outside, listen to the birds, enjoy the garden, and snap a million photos. I bet you are, too!
ReplyDeleteYou got that right, Martha!
DeleteIt is nearly 5pm here....and we are in brilliant sunshine here! Windy......but sunny!
YAY!
The best is yet to come. And it won't be long now. It is positively mild outside and the rain is getting rid of all that dirty snow. Yah! Love the photo looking out from inside the cottage. Very nice. Just spent the day with Gwyn again. I am one spoiled nana.
ReplyDeleteNo rain now....brilliant sunshine!
ReplyDeleteThat pic is from the kitchen.....looking all the way to the Great Lake.....
Oh....you are a lucky Nana....for sure♥️
Thanks for the reminder..I was beginning to think that we'd never see another one...but then again...we ARE still waiting!
ReplyDeleteJane x
And VERY patiently.....right Jane?
DeleteThere's nothing like preparing the sunporch. That's when you know there's gonna be more sunshine. Spring is without a doubt my favorite season, Linda. Enjoy the weekend. Somehow I know that's not gonna be a problem :)
ReplyDeleteNo problem at all Blue....you too!
DeleteI was looking through your pictures thinking, "What a minute, she doesn't have all those blooms outside yet, does she?" haha.
ReplyDeleteNO! Still snow here....but it has been shrinking the last few days!
DeleteTook these last year.....late April....
I thought you were about to post "reality" photos.
ReplyDeleteIt was dreariness and wind here too, but we went to the bay anyway.
The birds weren't hungry, but the boys found some really cool dead fish.
:0)
Good for you♥️
DeleteBeautiful Spring pics.... But I think my favorite is those toasty warm feet by the fire.
ReplyDeleteMe too Wanda....can't hardly wait!
DeleteI think it is almost upon us ... we're getting into the upper 40's here in Northern Michigan this weekend/week ... snow will be melting and green things will wake up from their winter sleep. So glad you Mom is well♥️
DeleteSummer was so long and so hot and it never ever rained when I was a child, even here in the UK - well that's how I remember it anyway!
ReplyDeleteSpring does feel like it's finally arrived here, we are even barbecuing today although it could snow yet, snow at Easter has happened before - in fact my husband has attempted a cricket match in the snow before!
In the meantime enjoy your glorious view and keep cosy by that fire.
Hope to be doing just that.........real soon!!
