Bits & Bobs From The Weekend.......

Relaxing with a crossword, between chores...

Still beautiful Susans...from Devon...who is leaving for the other end of Canada tomorrow...4ever!

Beautiful Dragon Wing Begonias...sure fire winner!

Basket of Pink & White waxy begonias, and 4 o'clocks..

Hosta Flowers.....I love the later blooming ones...much larger blooms!

I think they resemble Lilies....

Pink Geraniums...she will join me inside for the Winter...

Another angle of the cottage...screened sunporch to the left...

Basket of Yellow and White Begonias...Fountain Grass behind

Oh...we all know what this is...in one of my thrifty vintage glasses...tee hee hee!

Goldfinch on the beach...drinking? eating? or just looking adorable!

This guy came back again...I know, they all look alike!

My wee Inukshuk family is still standing!!

Hope you all had a great day...

Went to Fitness...

New teacher...

Male...

Need I say more!

Still hot and sticky...

But some rain this afternoon...

Gonna put dinner in the oven...

Golden crispy Pork Chops with sliced onions...

           Roasted Yams and Zuchinni...

I think I like comfort meals the best...

Roasting....slow-cooking....you know the type of food...

And I find it easier than BBQ'ing...less work...more delicious...just sayin'

                                                ************************

Enjoy the rest of your evening...

                     Cheers!  :o)

  2. Your glasses are lovely! I am amazed at how much you have flowering and growing and how well it is all doing. We have had a rubbishy summer here really and the garden is definitely showing the signs of that. It is a treat to stop by and see your flowers though. xx

  3. Such beautiful shots...You are such an amazing photographer. And an amazing cook too, as I'm already drooling over your dinner. I'm sure you and Betsy will be in mine and Martha's conversations on the balcony. Only good stuff of course...wish the four of us could have a slumber party.

  4. My favorite is the white Hosta. All very pretty, though. Sorry to hear you are losing your friend, Devon. It's hard to say "good-bye". Believe me, I know. I moved out west years ago and had to say "good-bye" to my best friend in Toronto. It was a lot harder on me than I thought. Thankfully, I moved back 4 years later and we just picked up where we left off. I had big phone bills back then but now, with all the on-line chatting, it will be easier for you to keep in touch.

  5. I think I love the lake, but apparently not enough to be there. Although, come to think of it, I was there last Friday. Maybe I do love it enough.
Love your flowers and stone monuments (because I can't remember that other word).
And no fair when best friends move so very far away. (I have some family in BC. My BIL and a cousin.)
I hope we get some sun and fair weather again soon!

  8. You know I love the rock creations. You will miss Devon, and yes it seems like the other side of the world, but it is a lot closer than you think. Hey ... we could travel together, you to visit Devon and me to visit my daughter :) So a male fitness teacher ... does this mean you will be going more often ????

We had terrific rain and thunder this afternoon, lost hydro for about 5 hours.

  10. Your flowers are still looking beautiful, Linda. It seems like it was just last week that you were giving us the update on your spring plants as they were coming up. Summer sure has gone by fast. Do you know the name of that late blooming hosta? It really is a beauty and yes, I think the blooms look like lilies too. Beautiful photos as always.
