We had to park across the street...
Too much snow from the plow...
Luckily we had left the gate ajar...
So we could squeeze through!!
Lots of drifting snow...
The winds must have been ferocious...
The steps to the beach, were blocked by a huge drift...
On the Western side of the property...
Very cloudy...damp...breezy...around 4*C...
Here you can see the drifting along the West side...
My huge rock/perennial garden lies beneath all that snow...
The beach was unaccessible this trip...
Never remember that happening before...
But...it was pretty windy and cold the closer I got...
Some spots were bare grass...
This could be a long Spring thaw...
Thru the window gives a better idea of the drifting...
Lots of Spring work to be done....yikes!!
As we say goodbye after another visit...
We can only think of what is to come...
Green...
Beach deck...
Dinner on the sunporch...with the windows to the kitchen wide open...
Oh...and...those Sunsets...
To die for...
Dreaming here..... :o)
Hope you are all having a great day...
Sunny here...but chilly...
We have Miss V visiting...she is still napping...since 1pm...such a good girl♥️
We did some Easter crafts...
Papa took her to the park on her bike...
Had a great lunch...
Her Mom will be joining us for dinner tonight...
Got some fresh Cod soaking in buttermilk...
Gonna make some fried rice to go along with the crispy baked fish...
Perhaps a few Brussel Sprouts will go nicely...
enjoy your evening...
Cheers! :o)

Those are huge drifts. The sun needs to get out and do some work on melting them down. It's a lovely sunny day here, but on the cool side. I'm catching up on jobs after going to Canada Blooms yesterday.
ReplyDeleteYes...I hope the sun gets to work ASAP!
DeleteHow was the show?
I LOVE that place♥
ReplyDeleteSo so cute..and location location location;)
What a difference our homes..winter/summer~
So funny..we're having fish w/ panko..rice..and bok choy.
Oh I use Pako too, Monique! Love that stuff!
DeleteIs the snow even deeper than last year? It looks it in places, must be the drifting. Brrrrr!
ReplyDeleteCan't remember Jessica....I remember it took the lake a long time to thaw....
DeleteThe summer shots cheered me up SO much!
ReplyDeleteWinter is too long.

The summer will be here before you know it, Candice.
DeleteAre you going really south, like your daughter?
Must have been a lot of snow there and drifting.
ReplyDeleteThe snow looks picturesque ~ nice to look at but cold to be in . . . brr!
Quite a comparison between cold and warm visits. Bet you can't wait for the weather to buck up.
Lovely picture of you both.
Of you . . you seem to have a spare pair of glasses on your head . . . had you lost them? . . lol . . .
Had a rest from Peter today ~ felt a little under the weather . . . :)
Hi Eddie...
DeleteIt won't be long, before it is beautiful once again....
Those are my reading glasses on my head!
Need them if I try to get a closeups shot of anything!
You or Peter under the weather?
I see about your aids to navigation . . . you must be long sighted ~ I am a bit short sighted.
DeleteMe . . . leg bad again and I am having it treated with Manuka Honey and 2 anti-biotics. Nurse will dress it twice a week for a month, Feels quite a bit better already ~ I shall be well enough to have him tomorrow . . . :)
Not sure what I am...but I need glasses to see up close!
DeleteOh my gosh....that leg sounds nasty....good luck with that!
Hi to Peter!
I'm liking the last few photos more than the snowy scenes and it will happen and you will enjoy some wonderful days and evenings there this year. It's surprising how fast the snow melts once it starts. I'm amazed every year. So when I look out and see 4 and 5 foot drifts and snowbanks I will remember how fast it melts ONCE THE WEATHER WARMS UP!!!! We have more snow coming on Saturday. Yep. Can't go more than 3 days without it. Just wouldn't be right. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh Pam....you will get the melt....I am praying for you!
DeleteYikes is right! Okay, I'm waiting on the painted toenails too (smile).
ReplyDeleteHope you had lovely and fun time
Mine are already painted....and ready!
DeleteHad a great time with Miss V♥️
Look at that drifting! But another few weeks and it will be all gone and the ground nice and watered for a green spring and summer!
ReplyDeleteDinner sounds good...I need to try your cod soaked in buttermilk...I want to taste that!
Fish and chicken are waaaaay better after bathing in buttermilk for a few hours.....yum!
DeleteStill looks a lot like winter but that'll change in no time! And then...green green green!
ReplyDeleteGreen....green.....green.....I like your attitude Martha!
DeleteI want to try the cod soaked in buttermilk too - always sounds so tasty. Fun winter AND summer shots. How fortunate you are to have such a beautiful property - and right on the water. People kill for that!. Well... let's hope not in reality - ha! But truly - you have a beautiful cottage and a beautiful home. Lovely photo of you and the bf!
ReplyDeleteIt really plumps up the meat, and keeps it so moist!
DeleteWe are very fortunate Suzanne....we love the hard work, too!
You have more snow down there then we do . Lovely photos . Oh cod in buttermilk sounds good haven't had that in a while , I love the fresh cod from our lake Erie YUMMY ! Thanks for sharing . Have a good day and Happy Spring tomorrow !
