"One Of These Things Is Not Like The Other"

On our many beach walks....

We are always on the search for unusual things....

Shells.....are usually what we find....

But....this one day.....we hit the jackpot!

My boyfriend actually found an upper pair of someone's false teeth!

Have you ever?

Hahaha!

We keep looking for the owner....no luck yet!

Weather has been gorgeous all week!

Having lots of beach time....

Doesn't seem possible that we will be heading home next week....

Hope the weather clears in Tennessee and Kentucky....they are on our route!

Oh....an update....

Spoke with the mystery lady in the chair!

Her name is Deb....she is from Nova Scotia Canada!

She is here for 3 months.....staying next door....where we stayed once!

She has some physical problems, so sits to enjoy the ocean, and the passersby.....

The notebook? Just a journal she writes things in....nothing to do specifically with birds!

So.....there you go.....no big mystery after all.....hahaha!

This is how my boyfriend found the teeth....all sandy and gritty....

Shall we take them home, and add them to the shells around the beach deck....

At the cottage?
                                    **************************************

Hope you are all having a great day....

What are you up to?

Any freezing rain where you are?

My daughter Lissa lost power for a while last night....

Must check with her this am....

Enjoy your day!

Clocks Spring forward this weekend....

Won't be long now!

                  Cheers!   :o)
                      linda

ps....do you remember that song from Sesame Street?

  6. How very strange to find a pair of teeth on the beach. Now if only they could talk...
Maybe they came from a salty old sailor, or perhaps a seagull swooped down and stole them while a lady sunbathed... Or maybe they fell off a garbage barge. ha ha!
I love the shell collection, teeth and all! I once found a little rabbit shaped cookie cutter on the beach at Windmill Point. I took pictures but I had my MIL's camera and never had the chance to get a copy. She probably never noticed it amongst the little shells and pebbles.

  7. lol . . . that's only a half find . . . where are the bottom teeth set ? . . . rofl.
Nice that you spoke to the lady . . at first I thought you were going to say they were her's . . lol
How can anyone lose their false teeth without realising it, I wonder?
May be they were chattering with the cold in the biting wind you had and fell out . . .

    Glad you are having a good time . . . :)

    2. I think those teeth need a good bleaching ~ awful colour aren't they? . . .
A friend of mine swapped his Mums and Dads teeth whilst they were out of the bathroom.
Mum said, "Hey I think there is something wrong with the water, my teeth don't fit ~ Dad said I think you are right mine don't either . . . haha!

  8. Okay, one photo of the teeth might have been funny, but did you have to share 6 photos of them, LSK? Quite gross! Glad you solved the mystery about the lady. We had a bunch of "brown outs" last night, but thankfully they didn't last long. Hope your daughter's is restored. Trying not to give in to the sniffles, need some sunshine. Enjoy, enjoy...

  10. I'd leave the teeth back on the beach for someone's to discover at another time ... not the kind of garden whimsy I want in my garden. Glad the weather has improved and hope it stays the same or better for the rest of your stay. All around us lost hydro, but not us, probably not as much snow as predicted but then those weather people like to hype it right up and scare the wits out of us. We actually hit 0 celsius yesterday and today it has hit +1 ... first time in over 38 days we have been around 0 ... must be a heatwave for us :)

  11. We have already talked about that Linda.....just kidding about taking them home!

  12. I think the most disturbing thing about those teeth is the colour of them!! If you have false teeth, surely you would go for white!!!!! Eeewww!!!! Leave them behind for sure!!!!! xx

  13. Did you happen to ask "Deb" if she'd lost some teeth? Just a thought.
I'm heading to the kitchen to bake cookies.

  15. Hi Linda, we spend our summers on the coast of Oregon and we are always finding the strangest things on the beach, but that's part of the fun. Looks like those teeth could bring about another story and mystery. Sounds like life is good. Have a great week!

  16. Oh, yes Linda, I will be singing that song all day now, he he. That is fun, finding the teeth, and who knows where they came from and how long they have been floating in the ocean. There is an artist I like who makes wonderful art installations from things she finds on the beach, driftwood, shells, and lots of oddities too. I am glad you spoke to Deb, another Canadian escaping to Florida! Our DD is getting lots of work supply teaching - she says it is because all the regulars have gone off to Florida :) Your weather sounds nice this week. We are about to have another heat wave today, expected to break the all-time record for a March day here : 39 degrees! YUK!! Off to sew with girlfriends...

A lot of my friends are still without power since last night - it was certainly milder today but going back to -27C tonight. From +2C earlier. Insane.
