Cloudy Skies....

We arrived at the cottage early Thursday afternoon...

It was VERY overcast...but no wind...which made it lovely!!

Boyfriend and I got right to work...

I got the old paintbrush out...touched everything I could see!!

Grass got cut...

3 evergreens planted...

Martin House down...

A very productive day!!  Indeed!!

We finally settled down...

Down to the beach and beach deck...

Wish this sand was here when Miss V is visiting...

She would love to get her water shoes on...shovel and pail...and dig right in!!

Perhaps it will still be there this upcoming long weekend...as I am sure she will be visiting!!

As late afternoon arrived...it did brighten up!!

Aren't these clouds awesome!!

I do love taking pictures of them...

Here...the Seagulls and Ducks were having a feeding frenzy...

Love how the Seagulls glow in the sunlight...

Friday morning brought some lovely sunshine...

And a few lingering clouds...

Ahhh...

Today is dedicated to laundry, changing the sheets, vacuuming,you know the routine...dusting...polishing...you name it!! All the boring house tasks...

Sticky and hot out there...the humidity is back!!
Gonna be a hot week!

Welcome Home......

When I saw her at the grocery store yesterday....

I knew she had to come home with me....

And....

I knew the perfect spot...

And the perfect container...

I do believe...

She looks fabulous there...

No direct sunlight...

But...

Plenty of natural light...

Hopefully...

She will flourish ♥️

Two bike rides...nice long nap....play doh and a tea party!

Think we might take off tomorrow afternoon for the cottage...

There is a lovely walkway thru an old cemetery, near my daughter Lissa and her husband Jeff's house...

Back at Lissa's and Jeff's yard...love it here!
They had a new fence put in this Spring...
And their old deck ripped out...and completely rebuilt...bigger and better!!

You can see behind her...they had a big bench built in an L-shape...in front of the deck wall...with storage underneath...and their table has drop leafs, so we could all sit at the table together!! 

You can see the other side below...a cute bench,table,
umbrella and 2 cosy chairs!!

They are still looking for some new furniture...

Hi Lola!!

Lissa has added stones from the beach at the cottage...small pieces of driftwood, gathered on their trips to Maine and New Brunswick...
Looks cool,eh??
 

I made them both up a small basket of goodies...to help celebrate their new outdoor space...and some nice hot drinks for the upcoming Fall weather...He loves coffee and she drinks tea!!
A few tea towels...placemats...spoon rest...cute "piggy" plate...paper napkins and some lovely blanket stitched Fall napkins...I hope they enjoy everything!!

We had a great afternoon...everyone enjoying our time together...
Dinner was grilled chicken,steaks,veggie burgers,potato salad and gluten free pasta salad...delicious!!

Weather is kinda gloomy here...threatening rain...breezy...on the cooler side...
Did a HUGE grocery shop...and a new wee plant!!

Looks like we are going to enjoy some baked pork chops...
Mashed potatoes with gravy...
Fresh Peaches and Cream corn on the cob...
And some sauteed peppers, onions and mushrooms...

Chicken soup on the stove...will be delicious for tomorrow...

Sunday was a family BBQ at my Daughter Lissa and husband Jeff...
Miss V drove her car...for hours...pictures to come!!

Tonight is gonna be breakfast for dinner!!
Fried Peameal bacon...scrambled eggs...fresh homefries!!
And....of course...some sliced tomatoes!!!
Just because they are sooooo beautiful right now!!
