I Had Another Post In Mind....But This Is Way More Fun!!










After lunch...
We promised Miss V, that she could try and ride her "Big" bike again...
We had given her a Barbie helmet for her birthday, and she was itching to try it out!
She had had problems with the pedals...and the brakes...
The tricycles at daycare don't have any brakes,
SO...whenever she stopped pedalling, and pushed her feet back...she braked!!
With a lot of help...and determination from her Papa...

                                    SHE DID IT!!!
 All the way back to the house...she pedalled happily!!

                                   Good job Miss V!!!

She is napping now...and then we will go out for another ride!!

I have a new recipe that I made today for dinner tonight!!
From my Canadian Living magazine... 

           Smoky Pork Bolognese Sauce...
              Served over Rigatoni Pasta...
                 With Ceasar Salad...
             Yummy!!
Will take pictures...for another post on Dinners...

    Great fun and fantastic she has mastered the art of pedalling. It is a very complex procedure and demands great timing with downward pressure on one pedal and then the other ~ guess she mastered that a while ago but very clever to learn to do the opposite for braking . . Good tuition from driving instructor Papa.
    Peter has Jon's old tricycle which has pedal propulsion on the front wheel/ He has not got the technique yet, probably because he can't reach fully the maximum down on the pedal and does not understand yet that the other foot has to be relaxed and not push down. All in good time and then the braking . . . :)
    Tomorrow we are all going to our local airport to watch the planes taking off and landing, He will be wowed as to how big and noisy they are , , :)

    Lovely photos . I like your header . YEAH ! for Miss V on her bike , love the helmet , Hope you supper is good sounds YUMMY ! I have been busy cleaning the kitchen , yeah know washing down the appliances , cupboards , counter , back splash freshening it all up and then weeding the gardens after Miggs and long walk this morning lol !     None to be found in the Littles..well on an occasional pink shirt day at school..yes..

    so I love blue too..


    but this is such a girlie post I cannot help myself but think..pretty in pink..Way to go Miss V!

    I must have seen and cut out that smoky pork rigatoni sauce..I love rigatoni..so big and substantial:)
    Let us know..

    I Googled.. and made cream puffs..and semi-gardened... semi-painted.. made shrimp cocktail sauce..again..and all I want with that is 3 corn on the cob..with the shrimp of course..another cloud formation day!

    Noah is in a swim meet at 7..so we will be going;)
    They are off to Toronto tomorrow..for 5 days..the aquarium..etc..before the teacher and student go back to school~

    Would be lovely to look like Miss V in a bike helmet;)

    Learning to ride your first big bike is a big thing isn't it! Sounds as though Miss V is doing very well with it though. She looks very cute on her bike and the helmet is sure to be helping her along too!! xx

    Just enjoyed looking at your beautiful begonias from yesterday and love today's blog with the little cutie and her papa. She'll always hold both of you close to her heart, especially because these are her formative years.     Yay Vivian! She looks so cute in pink on her pink bike. Our big E (almost 5) has a pedal bike minus the training wheels that he's mastering quite well and little E has his pedal-less Strider. I'm having a quiet at-home day today. :) Starting to clear off and be hot and humid. :)

      I am finding my way around my IPhone....very similar to my Ipad, so I have an advantage over the boyfriend, who had a blackberry!
      The pasta was pretty darn good...perhaps I will share the recipe!

    Ahhhhh, so sweet, learning how to ride a two wheeler. I remember learning to ride a bike. Bet she was pretty proud of herself when she mastered it! Cute helmet!
