I Was So Happy To See The Doves Return To The Garden...


Yesterday...

When the sun was shining...

This handsome/beautiful fella/gal took a wee rest outside my kitchen window...

I had not seen any Doves for a very long time...

So...

I was happy to see them return to my garden...

        Hope you all are having a great day...

           The weather here is hopeless...

             Not holding out much hope for the weekend either...

              I hope the meatloaf I have put together will help ease the pain...

               Enjoy the rest of your day...

    Am I first to comment??? Your doves are such a lovely color. They are so peaceful looking. Guess that's why they are the peace sign..duh!
    Meatloaf sounds good. I stuffed a small pork roast with apple and prune....will add some little potatoes and green beens.

    I remember having some under a pine we had removed close to our home:( Lucas was a baby asleep ..under it at times..at other times the morning doves..
    history..all of it.:(

    Lovely photos.Oh good glad they have come back now for you . Ours have been here for some time and chasing each other well ok he chases she takes off lol ! It poured all day here and now are in a bit of break before the big thunderstorms show up . Thanks for sharing , have a good day !

      Yes...there are usually 3 of them...2 guys and a gal...and the silliness of it all!! hahaha!!

    Lots of big, fat raindrops on my windows. I like the rain and we need it desperately after such a dry winter.
    Sweet dove. They used to nest on my window at work and I always loved looking out at them.

    I love seeing the doves here too but they are scarce as hens teeth! lol I'm not looking forward to the deep freeze when it hits on Sunday and holds for the next week. Meatloaf sounds delicious! A nice heartwarming dinner. Enjoy the weekend. xx Pam

    Aren't the mourning doves pretty! I like seeing the doves around too, but they can be a bit slow when Mr. Hawk comes a-hunting. He has depleted the "dove larder" over the last couple of years. You got a couple of really nice shots of the dove Linda. I sometimes have a pair "build" a nest of two or three twigs in a little weeping pea tree beside my patio. I don't know how the eggs stay in place! I hope you get a little dove family too :)
    Still wet snow in the forecast for tomorrow ... meatloaf would ease that snow pain very nicely I think! Let's just not look outside tomorrow, deal?

      Hahaha! They used to build on my bathroom window sill...3-4 twigs...used to laugh myself silly!!
      the babies are pretty darned ugly!
      its a deal...i wont look outside...I'll bake instead!

    Pretty doves, Linda. They come to our bird feeder later in the day, feeding from the ground, too, where other birds have tossed seeds. We woke up to snow this morning. C'mon Spring! -Jenn
