The Brown Thrasher.....

The other morning....

We heard quite a lot of singing coming from outside the cottage....

When I stepped outside....there he was....in all his splendour.....

Back in to grab my trusty camera.....

Isn't he a beautiful specimen?

At first....I thought it was a Mockingbird....enchanting us with his songs....

After I loaded my pics in....and I got a closer look....I realized....

Not a Mockingbird!

The search was on, to identify this handsome fella!

Seems he is a Brown Thrasher....a rather large bird....with the same singing abilities....

He is an exhuberant singer....going thru all the old classics that everyone recognizes....

Only saw and heard him the once....

So glad I captured him....

Thanks again for all your kind concerns for Miss V....

Much better and back at school....running around, as usual!

Time is winding down for us here....

Actually did a bit of packing this am...

Just heading out for our morning beach walk...

Another sunny one out there!

I hear the weather up in our parts is improving daily! Yahoo! Spring is almost here!

Happy Women's Day to all you great gals....

And to our daughters and grandaughters....love them!

Hope you are all well...

Enjoy your day...

                          Cheers!  :o)

  1. Gorgeous photos Linda, Good to hear Miss V is doing better. The weather is getting better here, been outside and saw daffodils poking through, robins, lilac buds, chippy holes and heard the cardinal chirping like crazy. He sure is getting to be bright red. Enjoy your last few days down there.

  2. Awesome photos, Linda! I never get tired of looking at your bird ones. Glad to hear little Miss V is doing better. I'm feeling much better....I'm biting at the bits to get out and do some planting. But I know better. We will usually have one more cold snap before growing season begins. Hope you enjoyed your walk.

My BF cooked salmon fillets for dinner on our new BBQ. (a great deal for boxing week at Candian Tire.) Enjoy the sun and safe drive home. And Happy Int'l Women's Day!
