Very Dull Cloudy Day At The Cottage......

It was a very dull...dark...cloudy day at the cottage...

When we visited last Friday...

It wasn't cold...5*c...north wind...calm lake...

I think it was colder INSIDE than outside!

Boyfriend got the water going...and I got the fridge on!!

Cleaned up after the squirrel business...lots of sooty prints everywhere!!

The beach is like a tornado hit it!!

Lots of driftwood and odds and ends...lots to clean up!!

Will make a lovely bonfire though!

My gardens are snow free...and lots growing...and...lots of leaves!

These Hollyhocks are eager...and lots of daffodils and tulips popping up!

On our way to the cottage...we dropped off a bag at one of our thrift shops...

Of course...I had to buy something!!

I spent $1.50 on all 3 things!

Loved the Bugs Bunny glass...and the etched Bird on the other glass grabbed my attention...

One more Pup to add to my doggie collection...

The one with the pink bows is the newest!

They remind me of Carnival prizes!!

We did not sleep over...but...we did leave the furnace on...YAY!!!

As we were leaving to come home...a bit of snow flurrie blew in!!

I always love this view of the point...on our way out....

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend...

Weather has turned cold....brrr...and darn windy....geesh!!

Need to make a list for my Easter preparations...

The kids will come on Friday for dinner...and treats! hahaha!

Then...perhaps Boyfriend and I will go to the cottage...

If the weather co-operates, that is!!

                Have a great day!!

Baked Ham...Scallopped potatoes...brocolli and bok choy tonight...

                     Cheers!  :o)

                                linda ♥️

  4. Gosh, there will be lots to pick up, but I am sure that you will enjoy it and some of it will float away again I imagine! I bet that you were so glad to be back there and to see that all was OK apart from that very naughty squirrel! They are tricky little animals aren't they! xx

  6. We're a little chilly down here, too! The snow is gone and like you, little green things are sprouting all over the place. The grass sure is green!

Baked ham sounds delish...we'll have that Sunday. Yum.

  8. Pesky squirrel? Sooty footprints?! I missed all of this. Did you have a squirrel come down your chimney?! Oh dear. I once had a blackbird come down our woodstove pipes and into the house. Sooty wing prints everywhere ha ha! Looks like the bonfire will be a good one with all that driftwood. Too bad there weren't some nice big pieces to decorate with in your gardens. Such a cold wind today! Holy cow, I put my winter coat back on. Have a great week Linda!

The weekend was sunny with cloudy periods and chilly for us but today was cold windy with snow squalls and then sun shine thank goodness none of the snow stayed and all melted as it hit the ground . The rest of the week rain and chilly . Oh well it is officially spring and that I can handle . Thanks for sharing , have a good day !

  11. Yikes, I'm trying to ignore the 10 cm. snow/rain mix forecast for Thursday! Glad you're back into photos of your feet, cute blue rain boots. And great buys at $1.50! My BF made stir fry tonight, but it was a little rushed so that we could get to our annual condo meeting. Always nice to chat with neighbours who we haven't seen all winter. Have a good week, Ms. Linda.

  20. These are very moody pictures and truly beautiful if you know the Great Lakes as we do, Linda. I can imagine the work you have ahead of you but by starting early you will be ready for fun and relaxation in a few weeks. I love Hollyhocks, I hope to add that to the lake garden at some point.

Your puppy collection, or at least these three are so sweet. 1950's?

We will have 3 of the 4 kids here for Easter dinner as well as their spouses/partners. And Papa. First time in years that I haven't had a crowd so we can all sit at the table instead of balancing plates on our laps! Ha! What do you make for Easter dinner? I have to go and pick out my ham today and then I'll get the fresh items later. Will post soon.

    Happy to be home? :-D
