A wee bit late...but...here I am!
Last weekend was so gorgeous at the cottage...
Even my pictures don't do it justice!
No wind...calm waters...beautiful sunshine...loved it!
Not much happening in the gardens...
But...my one little favorite Tulip has bloomed...and spread...
3 blooms this year!! Fantastic!
Lots of Scillia in bloom and the Pachysandra is putting out her blooms!!
Such a pretty flower it is too!!
Got a few birdhouses up..hopefully a few occupants soon...
My daughter and SIL gave me the Swallow house for Christmas...
Perhaps a few will be flying around this weekend...
We had a bonfire to burn everything that we had cut and raked...
There is my Boyfriend waiting for me down on the beachdeck...
To go out to dinner...
Sitting in the beautiful late afternoon sunshine..
We went to the local Fish restaurant...I am very lucky!!
When we returned...there was still plenty of Sunshine...
So we had a fire in the firepit,
Under the moon...♥️
~~~~~~~~~~~~
This week, I was having my Farmhouse sink in the kitchen refinished...
And...my claw foot tub in the bathroom done as well...
Can hardly wait to see them!!! I took a few before pics before we left last Sunday...
~~~~~~~~~~~
Had a ball with Miss V yesterday...♥️...we baked 4 loaves!!
We made Banana Vanilla Blueberry and an Apple Spice loaf...
They smelled fabulous!!
Her seedlings are still going strong...will show again in a few weeks...
~~~~~~~~~~~~
We will be off to the cottage Friday morning...
I have a big pot of Chili on the stove...ready to take...
Supposed to be a bit wet on Friday...but sunshine on Saturday...
More raking to do...as Monique says...even though we rake in the Fall...
The leaves are all back in the Spring!!
Hope you all are well...and have a great weekend....
See you all later....
Cheers! :o)
linda ♥️
ReplyDeleteHI Eddie...
DeleteYes...every weekend we do a bit more...won't be long!
We were gray, rainy and colder today. Had to pull the socks back out and close the windows!
ReplyDeleteThe flowers need a drink, though, so can't complain too much.
Have a fabulous weekend!
You too Betsy!
DeleteI am planning to clean and bake tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteGoing gluten-free again and feeling a difference already. (Been 5 days.)
Hoping to bake a loaf or two of sandwich bread and a batch of muffins.
My tulips aren't looking quite as cheerful as yours...
But the spring like weather has been wonderful.
:0)
Good for you!
DeleteWhen you bake bread...what kind of flour do you use?
Do you do a combo, or just gluten free flour...
My daughter has celiac...got a bread maker....but not sure what flour mixture to use....
Yes..the weather has been wonderful.....
Happy Baking!
I mix my own flours from a book I have. This is the bread four mix and the sandwich bread recipe.
And this link has the recipe for the all purpose flour mix.
PS. I don't line any pans with foil as U bought a deeper metal pan that hold the batter without it overflowing.
DeleteThanks so much Martha...I will send the links to my daughter!
DeleteWhat a beautiful relaxing space to enjoy . . .
ReplyDeleteAnd a fire at night with the moonlight . . .
Romantic . . .
Enjoy this weekend too . . .
Yes....very romantic! Hahaha!
DeleteLovely weekend to you Lynne!
Some nice views of the lake at the cottage!
ReplyDeleteHI Furry....
DeleteThanks! I love the view from inside!
Your blooms are lovely! We are in full on spring here and other than the allergies I am loving it. It was 26 C. yesterday!
ReplyDeleteFabulous!
DeleteWow, green grass, sun shining, and a little fire pit. All is gorgeous for Spring at the cottage. How cute is that pink polka dot birdhouse? I'm feeling a tad nostalgic for that lovely part of Canada. It's been a year since last we went over, and it will be at least another year until we get back. Ah well, I'll enjoy it through your blog, meantime :))
ReplyDeleteOkay...deal!
DeleteBut...you are going to Ireland!
Lovely pics, Linda. I like the sunset. So many pretty flowers. I love your birdhouse. With so many squirrels and mice I have to be careful with feeders so I have many birdhouses. They are so fun to watch, I have tenants at the one just 3 feet from the bathroom window and they are not shy---I get to see all of their antics!
ReplyDeleteJane
I love when they are right outside a window...so much fun to watch!
Deleteenjoy your weekend!
Enjoy Linda! Sounds like we are in for another beautiful weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou too Linda!!
DeleteLove the photos, so calm and lovely. But I especially love the birdhouse and the BF patiently waiting for you. Hmm...he's a keeper. LOL. Enjoy the weekend and take care...
ReplyDeleteWe did Hester....hope you did too!
Deletehave a wonderful weekend in your little bit of heaven! ♥
ReplyDeleteThanks Tammy....♥️
DeleteGreat post, Linda. You picked a gorgeous weekend to visit the cottage. I love how still the water looks. Are the blue flowers in the first couple of pictures the pachysandra? They are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteThe first couple of blooms are very special! I have a lot of daffs and now some tulips. They will take off soon. I reseeded the front yard and am hoping the recent rain didn't wash too much of it away. Always a dilemma and seed is so expensive. I know I have many days of hard work ahead.
You never stop cooking and baking. I think you tons more energy than me. I'll follow your lead.
Happy Spring you fun girl! :)
Jane
HI Jane....
DeleteNo, the blue is the Scillia...pretty,eh?
Reseeding is a huge job....good for you!
Not really lots of energy...lots of laziness in there too! Hahaha!
Had a good weekend...lots accomplished!
Love the polka dot bird house.
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend :-)
You too Ivy!
Deletelove seeing the cottage photos, the birdhouse is cute, enjoy this weekend at the cottage
ReplyDeleteGot more raking done! Hopefully nearly done....
