When The Red Red Robin...Comes Bob Bob Bobbing Along....
While sitting on the beach deck, at the cottage on Saturday...
Enjoying the late afternoon sun...
After a splendid day of raking...clipping...raking...carrying...walking...
This most handsome specimen, put on a lovely show for us...
He was closer to the cottage, so I zoomed in...
He was posing on the platform feeder...
Ever vigilant of his/her surroundings...
Listening...watching...
Suddenly...he/she jumped down...bob bob bobbed across the lawn...
Came to rest in this position...
Aren't Robins just an incredible resilient Bird??
I never tire of their arrivals in the late Winter and early Spring...
Their beautiful songs as they grab the last nibble late into the evening...
I must get the BIG birdbath out this weekend at the cottage...
Because the second favorite thing that a Robin loves to do...
Is...
Take a bath.....♥️

How are you doing?
I have not visited...I should!
Haven't seen a robin in Edmonton yet, but I'm sure it won't be long now.
ReplyDeleteReally? I find that kinda odd.....
DeleteWe have that song here too . . . it is Bristol City football team's song.
ReplyDeleteYour Robbins are much larger than our's but their behaviour seems similar.
Beautiful photography.
Enjoy Wednesday . . . :)
Hi Eddie....

I love the British Robins...so cute!
Oh I will....no worries about that!
Great pics of the robins. I love hearing their chirp and song. I heard a Killdeer on Sunday and the Tree Swallows have returned and checked out the birdhouse. Have a great rest of the week Linda! xo Pam

ReplyDeleteThanks Laurie..will do!
DeleteLovely shots, Linda! I love robins. They are such sweet, delightful birds. And they sing so beautifully!
ReplyDeleteI agree on everything!
DeleteI always look forward to your lovely photos and "storyline." I think Miss V. might be ready for an outing with her nana and grandpa to Ripley's Aquarium this summer, what do you think? Such a fun place to visit! Lots of excitement here today, I had a letter to the editor published in the Nat'l Post! Enjoy Miss V. tomorrow and take care...
ReplyDeleteShe has been twice already!!! Such a social butterfly! We would love to take her there...
DeleteGood for you! Would I be able to find that online? Give me an idea of where to look!
Lovely robin pictures. I always get excited when I see my first robin because they show up so much earlier than other birds (and they are easy to spot!). What's on the menu for tomorrow? -Jenn
ReplyDeleteNot sure yet Jenn...keeping my options open! hahaha! Enjoy your day!
DeleteRobins are always so handsome and regal looking. Your robin looks so sleek too! We have a pair of chubby robins nesting above the drainpipe coming off the roof. Maybe they are finding a fattening supply of worms in my yard. I love their song too, and I remember how loud they were when I was young and they would be singing before the sun came up in the summer (way back when I would actually sleep in!). I hope you're enjoying your V-Day!
ReplyDeleteWendy
I thought he looked thin too!
DeleteWe had a great day....thanks Wendy!
Lovely photos of the beautiful Robin. He looks very pleased to have his photo taken. Like the Robins we have where I am, they are such characters.

OH my Kris...I have been at this for over 2 months! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!
DeleteThe robins are so happy now that the snow is gone.
ReplyDeleteThey are a beautiful bird and I am always glad to see them bobbing about.
Is Miss V a fan of birds as well as flowers?
:0)
Hi Martha....
DeleteOh yes she sure does! We watch them at the feeders...which she helps me fill...while we eat lunch!
Robins always mean spring is truly here! Wonderful photos - it was like he was posing just for you! Scrolled down to see Miss V and her seeds. Can she get any more adorable? It's so nice that you are teaching her gardening. Sweet, cherished moments. <3 xx Karen
ReplyDeleteI will be singing the Red Red Robin song all day long . . .
ReplyDeleteIt's in my mind for good . . .

Looking foward to seeing the birthday gift . . .
