Introducing The Mock Orange....

What a lovely surprise last Thursday,
to see the lovely Mock Orange in bloom...

And the fragrance....oh, the fragrance...

I cut a few to enjoy up close...

A few for the Sunporch....doesn't a vase full of fresh aromatic flowers, just life your spirits???   I just love the touch that they add to any space... :o)

And a few for the kitchen porch....had another vase left
over....I will find the perfect spot!!

This was an even bigger surprise....my peony bush actually had 2 peonies on it....cut them, I say!!!!

This is the view from the kitchen overlooking the sunporch...we had a big old window installed many years ago...it really brightened up the kitchen and gave a great pass-thru to the porch....can't imagine it any other way...
The water was exceptionally clear this past weekend...and not rough...bonus!!    Usually the pebbles will be out further by now, and more sandy near the shore...not too bad to walk on...if you have your swimmimg shoes on!!

A lot of the old concrete was from the cottages...built right on the beach....they come and go with the waves and storms...this big piece was perfect to stand on, while taking a few shots....

This little guy flew in for a bath, while we were having dinner....
He made quite a big splash..:o)

Hope you all had a great weekend, and enjoy the day....hot and humid as it is.....could be worse....

                                   Cheers!       :o)

  2. Hi Linda. Your mock orange blossoms are so beautiful and I love the bouquet in the white vase. Your screen porch is my dream. You must enjoy it during these beautiful summer days. It's going to get hotter here tomorrow then the humidity will hit Wed. and Thurs. Stay cool! Pamela

  3. I love the scent of mock orange. Don't have any at this house, so should look for one. I see you have a twirler hanging on your porch. I went through a phase where I made lots and lots of these. I love them hanging in the garden. Hot and humid weather coming so we will all need to paddle in some cool water at the lake.
