Back from the cottage...
What a great weekend...
Got some cool new jars...
Spray painted my stove top...looks marvelous my friends...
Sewed 2 outdoor fabric pillows...
Swam, and swam and swam again...
1/2 hour of rain...:o(...still watering...but everything is actually holding up pretty well...considering!!
The jar with the green glass lid is marked BELGIUM...it seemed the perfect jar for our latest beachy finds...sea glass, small shells interesting stones etc... |
This jar is just perfect for my latest tasty breakfast treat...Overnite Oats...will share the recipe this week...soooo easy and soooo delicious.. |
This cool one is an Atlas E-Z seal....has a glass lid, with a star pattern on it...many uses for this one... |
So I took my stove top down to the beach, and gave it a good spray of fresh white [heat reisistant] paint |
Looks like a million bucks....:o) |
My green glass lid jar, sits on my shelf to the sunporch, right beside a potato vine in water...it broke off, so I had to put it in water...remember...I am a gardener!!!! Try and save everything... |
Bought this outdoor fabric a few weeks ago, and finally covered 2 cushions...nice and bright, eh?? |
At the end of the day...after catching every last piece of sunlight on the deck...we moved up to the sunporch...
We dined on BBQ steak, potatoes with sourcream and chives...mushroom, onions and red and yellow peppers...
DELICIOUS...yummy..tee hee hee
Of course....washed it all down with a nice dry Merlot....from our local vineyards in Niagara...
hope you all had a great weekend
I am still hoping for some rain...
Back soon with some new faces in the garden...home and cottage..
Cheers! :o)

Love the glass jars! Can't have too many of those! They are useful for so many things, aren't they? You had a great weekend, I am sure. The weather is sooooo perfect and hot now.
ReplyDeleteThe stove top looks tiptop perfect! What a great idea to paint it!
It was looking kinda lousy...it does look nice, doesn't it??
ReplyDeleteLinda, I haven't forgotten you or fallen off of a cliff..just been consumed with children and their activities...looks like things are going well for you this summer. Wished I was there sitting under your umbrella eating that meal and looking at your view! and of course visiting with you! I will be back...maybe when the kids go back to school...hopefully sooner. Hugs, Kristine
ReplyDeleteHey Kristine: Good to hear from you..thanks for the kind words...you were the first blog I discovered on my own...will look forward to some posts soon...by the way...how is the garden coming along???
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your summer..
It's amazing what you could do with jars these days eh?!. I didn't know there was heat-resistant spray paint! Your weekend at the cottage looked so relaxing! Are you going to The Ex this year? I haven't gone in years!
ReplyDeleteHey Sandy...we have also y=used the black spray paint for the BBQ...really spiffs it up..not sure about the EX...probably be kinda dangerous now, I would think...

You'll find lots of uses for your new jars. The one with the green glass top is really unique. Love your new pillows - very summery. Enjoy the day.

I love canning jars, too! I have a huge collection but can't resist bringing home just one more! :) That dinner looks scrumptious...it's dinner time and I'm starving! You like your potatoes just like me....mmmmmm!
ReplyDeleteI sure do Betsy...I could LIVE on potatoes..any shape...any form...LOVE them all!!!
DeleteLove those old mason jars, and what fun to fill with found treasures. Do I spy a crochet blanket beside that lovely pillow? Did you make that? It is the same pattern as the blanket I just finished, granny stripes.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda...that blanket is my thrifty $3.50 buy from a few weeks ago...I am going to start a crochet project shortly...need to brush up on my skills!
DeleteI like your beachy finds. I have a big bowl with rocks from all over Canada. The thing is I can't remember what rocks are from where. Nice job on the stove top. That is a great idea!
ReplyDeleteAt least I know mine are from our beach!!!I love the stove top!!
