Overnite Oatmeal & Berries.........

Does anyone out there love Oatmeal???

But doesn't like to clean a messy pot???

Fear not.....Overnite Oatmeal is here!!

Simply take any jar...mason jar is good...fill with 1/3 cup raw large cut Oatmeal...add 1/2 cup milk of your choice...I use the Vanilla Silk Soy Milk...tighten the lid, and place in the fridge overnite....

In the morning, I put the mixture in a bowl...micro for 1 minute...add yogurt and berries...and VOILA...Overnite Oatmeal...

And....BOY.....is it ever delicious....

You can add any number of toppings...berries...cinnamon...brown sugar...maple syrup....chia seeds...honey...sliced bananas....raisins...grated apple...The list is endless...

I have been eating this for breakfast for about 6 weeks...and I love it!!!

  1. Oatmeal is not a favorite for me but I hear it's very healthy, especialy the steelcut kind. this sounds simple and with fruit would be tolerable. :D

  4. I loathe all cereal of any kind, but, and it's a big but, I MAY just try this. Perhaps with almond milk or vanilla rice milk and LOTS of delish fruit on top.

  6. I love, love, love oatmeal and have taken to eating the packet stuff in the summer as I don't want to cook in the morning. I will be trying this idea for sure. I learn about oatmeal from your blog and you learn about plants from mine. :) Have a great day, I'm off for a morning of browsing and shopping with a friend.
