Stormy Weather.....

We went later on Friday to the Lake, as the weather reports were horrendous...

Actually late friday afternoon and evening, were very nice...very nice indeed...

The ridiculous wind from last weekend, showed up again during the night...

We awoke to this....
Blowing...raining...lousy..

So we had  delicious peameal bacon sandwiches...showered... and headed into Port....Pt Colborne, that is...visited the thrift shops...even walked along the canal, where the specialty shops are...nothing caught our eyes this day...

Until we saw this....

And we had to have some...

Not raining at this point...

But...just around the corner...

It was waiting for us...

So....we kept driving...

Ended up in Welland...

On the way back to the cottage...it
had stopped raining for a bit...

So we [I mean my boyfriend]...
purchased some fresh corn...

To have with our ribs and rice...

And ....it did not disappoint...

Delicious.......  :o)

These were a few of the clouds on the way back to the cottage...

And...by the time we got there...guess what???

You are correct.....it was blowing like hell and raining...

The sunporch was soaked...

Got the corn schucked during a dry patch...

And then....for about 5 minutes...the sun came out...too short-lived tho...

I came downstairs for a
"pee" around 6:30am..

And this is what I saw..

So...I...took a picture, what else?

Pretty glorious morning, eh??

I got a chance to clean up a few more garden beds...

Why do day lilies have to get so yucky after blooming???

What a mess....made about 7 trips to the bonfire with all the dead foliage...

Nothing really in bloom this week...

Waiting for the obedient plants...

The Mr even got to read a bit...while I showered...he had to sit up near the shed, as the darn ***** wind picked up again!!!

And got humid again...
We left around 2:30...and ran into more rain!!

We had clouds all the way to my son's place, where we stopped
               for a cup of tea...and a visit...

Hope you all had a drier weekend...Lots of interesting cloud formations this summer, eh???   More than usual, or am I just noticing more??

Vivian did not need her sunglasses this weekend!
                               how precious is that??

                                        Cheers!        :o)

  1. You sure had some nasty weather in your part of the province. Here it was dry, but as you said, lots of amazing cloud formations in the sky. My white obedience plants are in bloom, the pink have yet to bloom.
