Saturday's Story....

We got to the cottage last Saturday, just before noon...

It was sunny...

Green...

Windy....

Chilly...

The garden tour turned up a few new faces...

Lily-of-the-valley bigger and plumper...

Bridal wreath spirea bushes just coming into bloom...

This weekend... the Bridal Wreath ...with all the rain we have had this week...and the humidity rolling in... should be spectacular!!!

Rock Phlox...with silver leaves and white flowers is awesome...

Glossy red tulip still hanging in!!

Cranesbill Geraniums look great!!

Poor Mans Parasol coming up thru the Goutweed....

One Allum struggling to poke thru...

Bachelors Buttons looking good!! ..

Oakleaf Hydrangea is awesome...think I will make an arrangement with some of those this weekend...perhaps with a few ferns as well!!

                                 Sounds like a plan!

It was a sweatpants and sweatshirt kind of weekend...

The lake was choppy during the day, but calmed down in the late afternoon, as the wind switched to the North...

We sat on the deck for as long as we could...and caught the setting sun...

Then we retired inside to some hot chili...

Some cold beer...

And a lovely toasty cosy warm fire!!!

I put my feet up..

'Cause I worked soooo
hard all day!!!

HAHAHA!

Actually..

I did all the whipping around the gardens...

Such a rewarding job...looks beautiful after it is all trimmed nicely...

And the moon rewarded us...

With a big face...

Shining in our bedroom alllll
night...

Love that!!!

Hope you all had a great day...

Again with the spotty downpours...but the sun is shining now!!!

On the menu tonight....

Fried rice....BBQ'D Cajun Tilapia...fresh green asparagus...

Enjoy the rest of your evening...

                      Cheers!   :o)

  1. Beautiful photos, as always. I love to visit your space, Linda. I would enjoy having a cabin someday too, if I don't get the camper of my dreams - maybe I should have both, haha.

  9. Gorgeous blooms Linda! I love to see what grows in other areas. Everything is so lush! Do you do any type of boating there on the lake?
I think you are right...your cottage on the lake is like our Big Bear Lake to us.
