I Was Pretty Darned Upset....Let Me Tell 'ya!!!!
When we got to the cottage on Friday...
After unpacking the car...opening up the windows...sweeping up the buggies...
I then head down to the beach...
To check out my cute little veggie patch...
To my horror...the 2 watermelons....and a cantaloupe were OFF THEIR VINES!!!!
What the heck???
On closer inspection...there were 2 bite marks on the watermelon!!!
Guess the stupid annoying Raccoon must have decided he wanted to sample a few things...but...he only tore into it...and left it in misery...in the hot sun...to dry out...GOSH DARN...I was so excited about those Watermelons!!!
I did spy another cantaloupe still attached..and another wee watermelon starting...
The pictures are rather poor, as I took them in bright sunlight...and when I tried to edit and add my initials in Picasa...of course...the editing won't work right now!!! So...the pics are a bit drab....but I just had to share my grief with you all!
Hope you all had a great weekend...we certainly did!!!
Back tomorrow with some great shots...
After some "Doris Day" editing...hahaha!!!
Enjoy the rest of your evening...
Cheers! :o)

ReplyDeleteHa! We tried the trap for skunks under the shed! Trapped nothing!
DeleteDarn that raccoon!
ReplyDeleteYes....darn that raccoon!!
DeleteThe raccoon could have at least eaten what he started.
ReplyDeleteExactly Birdie!!! That was my thought, as well!
DeleteI wish I had a picture of my face, when I saw them all laying on the beach!!
I was....and still am...PISSED!!!
He should have taken a few tomatoes instead!
ReplyDeleteNow...there's an idea!
DeleteCome to think of it...lots of the tomatoes are always on the ground!
Hey....must be that darn raccoon as well!!!
That's a shame Linda. Crazy critters! Have a great week.

DeleteBoo! Bad raccoon! Shall I send the cat troops up to stand guard? :)
ReplyDeleteOh, that would be awesome, Betsy!
DeleteThey aren't afraid of raccoons???
SUPER CATS!!! ha!
Sorry, Linda. What a little jerk. :(
ReplyDeleteGood word, Jennifer!!!
DeleteHe is a JERK!!!
Bad raccoon! I have similar problems here in Australia with the possums - they eat everything including flowers and buds
ReplyDeleteEwwww...those Possums are pretty darn ugly!!!
DeleteWe had a few here and at the cottage!!!
OMG, that racoon needs a long spell on the naughty step for sure. What a shame as they look like they would have been wonderful to eat. Hope that the other things are as good as they look - more cucumbers I see, you seem to have the touch for those for sure.
ReplyDeleteYup...lots of cucumbers! Ha!
DeleteGave my weekend guests 3 to take home!
Oh no, how disappointing to arrive at the cottage and discover that damage. Hope the rest of the crop survives.
ReplyDeleteI hope so too, Linda...will have to wait and see!!!
