First Snow......
Today was our first snowy morning...
I am sure....only one...of many more to come...
I had finished my front planter last weekend...
The snow made it even prettier♥
My daughter had bought me some rather interesting greenery this year....
Love the variegated cedar!
It has green mini-lights in it....very dramatic at night...
*******
Hope you are all having a great day...
We had Miss V this afternoon...she is still sleeping♥
Poor little dear was pretty tired....
******
Heading out for dinner this evening...not sure where yet :o)
Hope you all got around allright in the snow...
Everyone safe and sound....
Enjoy the rest of your day.....
Cheers! :o)

I love the first snow of the year! But after that, it gets real old, real quick.
ReplyDeleteI hear you Debra....I was just saying I am already sick of the wind!!!
DeleteI love your wicker planter arrangement, Linda, and it looks so pretty with the fresh snow on it. It must look pretty at night all lit up. It's still pouring rain and blowing and 14 here. It hasn't stopped all day. Good thing it isn't snow!
ReplyDeleteThanks Pam ♥
DeleteI think you're right...the snow was the finishing touch for your planter! Just lovely! We didn't get nearly the snow that was forecasted but it's cold enough that what we had has remained. Makes for lovely photographs!
ReplyDeleteThanks Betsy.....it certainly does!

DeleteWe had our Thanksgiving in October....you enjoy today!
The first snow is always lovely and we rush out to take photos ... but I'm sure that feeling changes after a few times.
ReplyDeleteWe had about 15 cm. of snow, more than you, but roads, paths, driveways etc area all clear and safe till the next time.
Yup....I am dreaming of Spring already! Or...at least February...so I can go to Florida!♥
DeleteThe first snow was lovely, wasn't it? Your planter looks great! Can you come and do mine? Too late, I know :(
ReplyDeleteI would have....you only have to ask♥
DeleteYour front entry planter looks beautiful ~ you have an absolute flair for decorating and seeing the beauty in things. Enjoy your blog LOTS ... we're having Thanksgiving at my house today ... a quiet, small one but SO very much to be grateful for. Enjoy your weekend! Linda
ReplyDeleteThanks for the lovely comment Linda.....enjoy your day!
Deleteyou never disappoint.
ReplyDeletewhatever the season. the beauty in your life of your own making and otherwise . . . is simply breathtaking!
there is style here. and heart. and it's important. it lifts spirits and touches others . . . better than the phone companies. LOL.
have a wonderful weekend dear cc girl.
how i envy that beautiful cold white stuff that makes everything prettier. what is it again?
something you call snow? can't imagine what it must be like. sigh.
It is not as romantic as you would think, Tammy......
DeleteOnce it gets all dirty....and slushy....it can be pretty darn ugly at times!
The first snow is always exciting though!
Linda...lovely showing of your talent with the planter. Might I ask...what do you use to secure your greenery and things into the planter? Do you water them? ...I've used florist foam in the past, but it seems to wither away.
ReplyDeleteHi Dot....I simply pull out my Annuals...and stick the greenery and stuff right into the soil in the top of my planter...once it freezes...everything is secure!
DeleteI had to add some boiling water to soften the soil, as it had frozen a bit already!
Thanks for stopping by!
It's not cedar Mum, it's Varigated Leyland Cypress. Sheesh flower lady... ;)
ReplyDeleteOh no Linda, looks like you are in trouble!! xx
DeleteOh I can handle it Amy!!!!
DeleteBe nice to your old Mom, Erika!
You make the snow look so lovely! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandy....you too!
