DeleteCrumbs!
ReplyDeleteI was the first to comment - they all must be having their dinner.
Why crumbs?
DeleteCrumbs is a Brit word for an exclamation of surprise that I was the first.

I've started collecting vintage green planters! I'm not familiar with Blue Mountain, but we have McCoy and Hall, which are fun to find.
ReplyDeleteEverything is looking lovely! Love the basket planters!

DeleteComes in many other colours....very collectible....you should google it!
Bras....love 'em....hate 'em.....geesh!
Fabulous photos as always, Linda. You have a lot of wonderful colour in your gardens this year. I love it! Your Blue Mountain Pottery bowl is a beauty. Do you keep the hosta in it all year but bring it in during the winter? I've never tried to grow a hosta in a pot before but I guess it can be done. Rain has started here and for tomorrow but a beautiful weekend is coming up.
ReplyDeleteI leave it in all year, but put the pot in the shed...to avoid the freeze and thaw, as the pot may crack....
DeleteWe are raining right now...supposed to clear Thursday
your baskets are looking great ... love the hosta in the bowl ... I just repotted all the hosta I have in pots into bigger pots ... humid today ... a bit of rain and the odd rumble of thunder but nothing major
ReplyDeletecrumbs ... use that word a lot also .. crikey and blimey
Very humid here....sticky!
DeleteWe have had rain all evening....garden getting a good soaking!
Hi Linda! Here I am popping in... I left a message for you at Betsy's too. What beautiful photos - so colourful. And I love baskets so those arrangements are my favourites. How nice to be on the water - I sometimes just stare at water for hours. I have given my folks a few Blue Mountain pieces over the years.. I think they were a deer and a pitcher. Don't have any myself. Hope you are enjoying your evening - very threatening here... looks like it may pour any second.
ReplyDeleteHey Suza!
DeleteGlad you could make it!
Read your note over at Betsy's....
My son and I thrift for the Blue Mountain stuff..always a thrill to find a different piece....
Hope you visit often....
These photos are from our cottage on Lake Erie...love it there!
I love hostas any way I can get them. Don't know exactly why, just do.
ReplyDeleteWe had some rather nice thunder out there tonight and Hannah played Frisbee in the rain with her friends. I told her no playing in the lightening.

ReplyDeletenever mind the girls....I thank myself for going back! What a scatterbrain I am some time!
DeleteHi Linda!
ReplyDeleteI was just introduced for the first time to Snow On the Mountain when a sweet little lady at a garage sale sent me home with some last year after we had the loveliest talk about gardening. She also have me some big beanie looking things and said to plant them in the Spring. I did and we'll see:)
Lovely pictures Linda. The Fountain Grass is going to look stunning in that basket! Bill has been trimming my grasses for me so the Sunflowers can grow first. An experiment of sorts:) Your Sprouts are looking good. I am so curious to see how they grow in a container. Mine are already getting unruly in the garden!
Thanks so much for sharing, Linda...
The snow on the mountain will spread like crazy...I just yank it out...or whip it, to control it...
DeleteIt is great for a big garden...and let it do its thing!
Never trimmed my grasses...I have many Miscanthus, that are already 4feet tall...
I put the sunflowers in a pot, that way I an keep them watered...it can get pretty dry out there...with the wind and all...
Sprouts are doing ok...will update a few weeks...so much fun!
And yes...I agree...the fountain grass will look awesome!!
i feel so good when i visit your blog, linda. so colorful - it lifts my spirits. and yes, the bra thing - true. great post. cheers!!
ReplyDeletep.s. the first pic is lovely. that blue just sparkles. your son has good taste. and all your dishes sound delish - absolutely. cheers!!
I understand. When you find one that fits, it's the best.
ReplyDeleteYou look very pretty in your pictures.
