7 Things I Did Yesterday.......













Here is the sky at 2pm...since then ,we have had 2 big downpours! 
                
                                                 *******************************


                   1. Made 2 Banana Lemon Fruit Loaves...we hadn't had any for months!

                 2. Made Strawberry, Raspberry, Blueberry freezer jam.....

                 3. Made delicious Scotch Broth from some leftover Lamb from the weekend...

                   4. Made Bean Salad with fresh Basil for the street get-together...

                 5. Made Tea with Fresh cake, berries and yogurt for my tea buddy and I....

                   6. Painted my scruffy toe nails...I really SHOULD get a pedicure!

                 7. Got dressed for the party...and we certainly had a great time!

                    Hope you all had a great day...

                       How is your weather?  We have cooled right off...Polar Vortex Summer!

                          Supposed to get humid again starting Sunday...

                            I do enjoy the cooler temps mixed in...how about you???


              Boyfriend picked up a small peameal bacon...

                  Roasted...with some scallopped potatoes...bok choy and zucchini...

                     Sounds perfect for a cool, dark, damp day!

  5. You had a much more productive day than I did. Great stuff! Glad you enjoyed your party. Our weather continues to be very humid although it has cooled down a tad.

  6. You've got me drooling over all that good food. I better get walking on the treadmill from all those cyber calories :)
    Much nicer weather today, had windows open all day long with a nice breeze coming in.
    The grouting all done in the kitchen, paint tomorrow :) Must take some more photos.

  8. we cannot believe our weird good fortune! we're having a heavenly cool day here. UNHEARD of in summer months here. something strange going on... but we'll take it! it's only to last one day.

  13. You sure had a busy day! Everything looks so delicious. It rained all day here today starting with a severe thunderstorm very early this morning. Sunshine coming tomorrow for about 5 days in a row. It's being a really good summer here for a change. Except for Hurricane Arthur that is.

  16. Oh no, now I want some jam on toast. I love all jam but strawberry, blueberry, raspberry freezer jam...well, say good-bye to that loaf of bread. haha! Loved your photos today Linda. Always makes me smile. The bean salad looks amazing. Perhaps you could share the recipe sometime. Love to see photos of you as you are always so pretty. And what's with V turning 2....how time flies.   20. Delicious food - all looks so tasty. Those fruit loaves... yummmmmmm. I must try some freezer jam some time. I don't really cook or bake that much but love trying new things now and then. I hear it is relatively simple to do - so right up my alley! Loving the cooler weather - the heat and humidity need not ever appear. One of the rare summers that I am actually enjoying! Thanks for sharing all your photos.

      Just buy the Certo for freezer jam.....sooooooo easy!
      I just use odd jars...keeps for 1year in the freezer...also makes a great gift!
      Let me know if you try it!

    Made lots of jam and jelly in the past, but never tried the freezer kind. looks great. You sure look cute getting ready to go out. Love your hair. Doing something different with mine now. Shorter, softer, no teasing... Have a great day!
