Friday At the Cottage.....

We arrived at the cottage late
 Thursday evening...

Just enough time to check things out...before the Sun set...

Friday morning brought coffee and English Muffins...with my own peach jam...to the beach deck for breakfast with the early sun...

Saw the Bunny on my way down, and went back for my camera...

He was in no hurry to leave his munching spot!!

My large fluffy Sunflower, has sprouted a few friends alongside...

Hope they wait til next weekend to open up!!

My beautiful Begonias were loving the morning sun...still wet from the night before...

I stole out, and put the sprinkler on for a while!!

They needed a drink♥️

Hydrangeas looking real good...

Cut a few for a vase...

Wonder where the pinkish hue came from??

Perhaps my shirt!!

I was wearing a bright pink t-shirt...

Very strange......

Friday was spent tending to the garden...

Cleaning inside...

Sprucing things up...

For our guests on Saturday...

Love this Coleus with the ruffly pink edges...

This Fountain Grass continues to put a smile on my face.......every time!!

                                                *******************

Hope you all had a great weekend...

That was some storm yesterday,eh??

Hope you are all safe and sound...

               Enjoy your evening....

                    Cheers!   :o)

      It was a lovely weekend..

  2. Looks like you're standing on the edge of the cliff there. Be careful!
Your flowers are gorgeous. I can't even keep up with one house and you're keeping up with two.
    Our lake was wild today!

    1. It's ok Martha...it just looks like a cliff!
This is true...2 houses....but, we love it! Keeps us young!
Very windy today here too...can only imagine what is going on out at the cottage!

    2. I knew it wasn't really a cliff. :0)
We've been up to the Lake enough to know about those concrete slabs.
      They're actually kind of interesting.

    3. I know♥️
When we first bought the cottage, there were slabs so big, we could take chairs and sit right at the waters edge...they have become a LOT smaller since then....apparently that was the old foundation for the cottage, before moving it back, after hurricane Hazel....very interesting indeed!

    4. What's interesting is how much of the lake shore is (or used to be) concrete slab. My mom in law must remember those days. She still talks about the old "dance Hall" in Fort Erie. It's long gone, succumbed to the lake.

    5. Apparently in the "old" days, you could drive your car along the beach!
      I can only imagine.....

  3. We have a bed up front that is waiting for Fountain Grass. We never got around to it so now we have to wait for fall.

In that one picture you look like you are on the edge of a ravine. If so, STEP BACK!

Just on the beach...don't worry, Birdie!

  4. Those muffins looked delicious! Why did I use the past tense. Because I have just eaten them !!!
The waves were quite large - any reason? It's only a very large lake. Erie sometimes looks Eerie with the waves. Perhaps the winds may whip it up a bit.
Great shot of the bunny - not a 'hare' out of place! lol
And loved the flower photos, as usual.
Are you glad to be back?

      Glad you enjoyed the muffins!
The winds are crazeeeee out there!
We pray for a North wind, so the Lake is calm....no luck this past weekend!
Glad to be home....always....but, I always worry about the cottage when I am not there!
      Be back there soon....
Hope you had an enjoyable weekend!

    2. Have you a small boat or craft you can use on the lake. I think you said it was quite shallow? Sounds kind of fun :)

    3. No....very expensive, and you need licenses and junk!
Plus...most of the time it is way too choppy....
We have a pedal boat....seats 4....you use your feet, like a bike..it is fun....
Haven't had it out this year... :o(

  7. I always love your flowers and I especially love the fountain grass. I learn so much here about flowers and such. Your own home-made peach jam? Lord, woman...is there nothing you don't make? It wouldn't last 2 days in my house. Try to stay dry. I hear it is raining a lot your way. Here...just cold for this time of year. Hugs, Deb

  16. Thank you so much for stopping by today so I could find my way here. Such beautiful, beautiful photos! I can tell you have a deep appreciation for all the gifts that surround us every day. =)

Yes, I used all three strands at once on that first basket. It wasn't really difficult at all. Still not as easy as one fat strand that I used on the others, but easy enough. ;)

Thanks again for stopping by. I'll be back. blessings ~ tanna
